RACE ONE

With two starts since crossing the Nullarbor, this looks the right set up to make the most of the gate and grab the TIGER BY THE TAIL (2). With limited early speed to display last week, he was buried in the run and never found the gap until it was all over. This looks his chance to cash in third up.

ARGYLE (10) was working in the middle stages of the 2138 last start when working forward from the second line and then was trying to stick on in the closing stages when 3m adrift as SAINT CRUSADER proved too strong. Runner-up his previous three in succession, he can challenge again here.

ROCK SUPREME (3) returns from a spell and has been to Redcliffe for a pair of trials to prepare, the latest a tidy effort in good time. With the gate to utilise his speed, he can make a play fresh.

YOUNG CONQUEROR (1) held the pocket trail from inside the second line last start and was making a late raid to run the winner SAINT CRUSADER to a head margin. He can feature again from this alley.

SELECTIONS: TIGER BY THE TAIL (2), ARGYLE (10), ROCK SUPREME (3), YOUNG CONQUEROR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TIGER BY THE TAIL (2) to win

RACE TWO

First up from a spell here last week, CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (10) started from inside the second line and was soon buried in the run and needing some luck. Having his momentum checked when needing clear space, he grabbed the silver behind L L COOL J. The gate stings, but he can show his class.

MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (8) is returning from a spell after his last run during the Constellations when making some nice metres behind TIMS A TROOPER. With a tidy trial in readiness for the return, he follows a smart beginner and with the economical trip fresh, can be looking to make a challenge.

LORD ZARIAS (6) made the most of gate 1 here two starts back when keeping them wide in a steady opening half and then finishing them off in a 55.7 close out. Strong to the line for 3rd last start, the gate hurts.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (1) returns from a spell off the back of two trials and comes up with the gate to avail the options. Chasing behind TIMS A TROOPER last start, he can grab a minor fresh up.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (10), MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (8), LORD ZARIAS (6), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (10) to win

RACE THREE

Asked to do his share of work from a second line gate last start, LETS GET ROCKIN (4) was wide on the track and strong to the line when 7m from the passing lane winner OBI ONE. Chasing home behind BEACH VILLA two starts back, he can look to get across and from the front give some cheek.

SAINT CRUSADER (9) was able to flex here last week, overcoming the outside second line, put into the contest mid-race and able to see it out for a tough victory. Its another step up here, but he is a smart conveyance and if able to repeat the last start effort, will be hard to hold out.

LOCHINVAR JAG (12) has placed in both runs since resuming from a spell. Drawn inside the second line in both appearances, this will be a tougher gate, but with the right trail he can chime in.

NURBURGRING (1) was runner-up over this trip two starts back when sliding forward from gate 7 to find the 11x trail and then only BETTERTHANAROCKET was able to get by. The trail helps his chances.

SELECTIONS: LETS GET ROCKIN (4), SAINT CRUSADER (9), LOCHINVAR JAG (12), NURBURGRING (1)
SUGGESTED BET: LETS GET ROCKIN (4) to win

RACE FOUR

Starting fav last week in the feature from outside the second line, ADELLE (6) never really warmed up from deep field with the tempo controlled from the front. A winner three back when overcoming the 30m handicap, it will all come down to how she scores up. The on her game Adelle wins this.

MAJESTIC HARRY (2) is the defending champion of this race, having led throughout last year. A smart winner when resuming two starts back, he was snookered last start when buried away on the poles. With good arm hustle, he can be firing early bullets to throw down the challenge.

FUNNY FACE (1) has lined up behind the start car on four occasions in Qld and drawn gate 7 twice and the second line twice. Freshened before last week’s feature, the inside gate is a huge plus.

SIR FAHRENHEIT (8) was sent forward here last week and taking control, dictated the pace and was able to see it out for a drought breaking win. At risk of being buried, he will be chiming in late.

SELECTIONS: ADELLE (6), MAJESTIC HARRY (2), FUNNY FACE (1), SIR FAHRENHEIT (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

The inside second line and a tardy beginning proved the difference for LEAP TO FAME (5) last week when attacking the line strongly but out of the money for the first time in 11 starts this season. Might brave when beaten a head in the Victoria Cup two starts back, a return to the front line at the AP 2138 where he is 6 from 8 can see him back in winning form.

MANILA PLAYBOY (1) faces a big ask by attacking this race first up from a spell, but has that offset by landing the ideal alley to secure the economical trip. 6m from MACH SHARD last start back in the Winter, he has been no further than 7m away at his past four and will be stalking ready to strike.

BLACKSADANCE (3) has been to the track three times since returning from a break, all at the mile. Strong to the line last week when a 2m 3rd behind FUTURE ASSURED. He has the gate to fire the first shots and with options thereafter is in the mix.

FUTURE ASSURED (10) had the ideal trip here last week and darting up the passing lane was too slippery to give Trent Dawson successive Be Good Johnny Sprint victories. A winner at his past four in succession, he can follow through early to feature late.

SELECTIONS: LEAP TO FAME (5), MANILA PLAYBOY (1), BLACKSADANCE (3), FUTURE ASSURED (10)
SUGGESTED BET: LEAP TO FAME (5) to win

RACE SIX

Stripping fitter from her first up appearance when defying gate 7, UPTOWN BEACHGIRL (5) can look to force the issue again here. Pressing on and given plenty of time to balance up before taking over last week, she was then untroubled in claiming a 7m margin. It looks a case of rinse and repeat.

ANNA LOVE (1) makes the trip up the Pacific Highway for Brad Hewitt and lands the ideal gate to tuck in behind the action. Attacking the line with venom last start when probing for runs up the long Menangle stretch, she can be tardy off the arm, but even from three fence poses a threat.

HOLI STARZZZ (6) has hit the board in all five appearances since joining the Turpin stable, including a hat-trick of victories. Game in defeat last week behind UPTOWN BEACHGIRL, she is in the mix again.

SHEZ NOTORIOUS (3) can get out quick and from this alley might have the fizz to get across in the early stages. Handing over thereafter, she would then be in an ideal position to find the podium.

SELECTIONS: UPTOWN BEACHGIRL (5), ANNA LOVE (1), HOLI STARZZZ (6), SHEZ NOTORIOUS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: UPTOWN BEACHGIRL (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

The four Peak of The Creek Heats and then the Final represent a strong form reference for this contest. MOSSDALE TERRY (2) set the tempo in his heat when gunned down by AARDIES FLASH and the had to sit parked in the Final. With added fitness, he has the early hustle and with or without the emergency, looks up to the task.

OK BOOMER (5) was first up for the new stable in the heats when sent straight to the front and once in control held them off to claim a 4m margin. Again, in front in the final, the race developed into a last panel blitz when AARDIES FLASH nabbed him up the lane. He can press forward to throw it down.

MIDNIGHT CALM (8) drew 10 in both the heat and Final of the Peak, making a late raid to grab the silver in his heat. He can stalk the speed here and be ready to make a closing play.

ALWAYS SMOKIN (6) was beaten by a second line gate in his Peak heat where WISPER A SECRET finished best to score. Chasing a hat-trick after successive 2138 victories prior to that, he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: MOSSDALE TERRY (2), OK BOOMER (5), MIDNIGHT CALM (8), ALWAYS SMOKIN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MOSSDALE TERRY (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

Sweeping the Peak of The Creek Series with the fastest heat win and then claiming the Final up the passing lane, AARDIES FLASH (2) can chase down a hat-trick of victories here. Showing a slick pair of plates to land the Final, the early tactics look intriguing, and he might just repeat the stalking trip to arrive.

FOR REAL LIFE (8) is also after a hat-trick of his own which will be over an extended period. Too strong in the Triad Final in August when sent around to sit parked from wide on the second line, he was then too slippery at Menangle in a Breeders Challenge heat from the front. Where he maps from this alley looks a quandary and he might just be forced to work around them.

FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (7) is a speedster but will need to display some stamina here as he steps out beyond the sprint trip for the first time. An effortless winner at his past two appearances from the front, he is right in the fight.

WISPER A SECRET (9) had the closing speed to claim his Peak of The Creek Heat and then fought on in the Final when 6m from AARDIES FLASH and just out of the money. He maps for a similar trip and will be trying to make a closing raid.

SELECTIONS: AARDIES FLASH (2), FOR REAL LIFE (8), FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (7), WISPER A SECRET (9)
SUGGESTED BET: AARDIES FLASH (2) to win

RACE NINE

Sent to Sydney following a campaign centred around the Qld Oaks, SKY BLU (9) has placed at her past six in succession, the latest when closing out in good order for 3rd behind EYE KEEP SMILING in the G1 NSW Breeders. Runner-up to MAJOR DELIGHT in the semi-final of that series, her class can see her home.

BRONSKI DELIGHT (1) will strip fitter from her first up run last week when making a late raid to grab the bronze behind MIKI MAGIC. Midfield at her last run in her previous campaign when chasing JEWEL MELODY in the Triad Final, she lands all the options to issue the challenge.

CHEER LEADER (2) eased from gate 6 here last week and was making good ground to be just out of the money. Fitter from the run where she was first up from a break, she can be handy enough to chime in.

JESEEKA (3) pressed to the front last week to take control and running even panels in front was trying to fight them off. Worried out of it by MIKE MAGIC, she can get forward again to feature.

SELECTIONS: SKY BLU (9), BRONSKI DELIGHT (1), CHEER LEADER (2), JESEEKA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SKY BLU (9) to win

RACE TEN

BRONSKI ZULU (4) was big in defeat here last week when three-wide through the opening 600 to find the breeze and then trying to throw it down at the home bend, peaked in the stretch. That was his first outing since the Triad Final when snookered in the run and only 3m from QUIK CHANGE.

IRON CLAD (10) returns from a NSW Breeders assault where he grabbed the bronze in a semi before being stung with the outside front alley in the Final. Chasing gamely to just miss the placings behind NATHAN STREET, he is afforded no favours from this gate, but looks to have the ability to challenge.

COSMIC FLYER (1) was the widest runner turning for home and found the line in nice order to be 5m from the dictating winner FIREBOLT. From a second line gate to the ace here should see him feature.

GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (3) was faced with gate 6 here last week in the QBRED For Life Feature and doing his share of work in the run, still closed it out nicely for 2nd. He can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: BRONSKI ZULU (4), IRON CLAD (10), COSMIC FLYER (1), GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BRONSKI ZULU (4) to win
