RACE ONE

A 3YO on debut for Jack Butler, DEFENSE ATTORNEY (3) is by the top sire Sweet Lou. Qualifying with a tidy effort when finishing it off with a 28 last panel and not extended, he strikes a winnable maiden to start his career in style.

HAY BALE HUSTLER (1) started from inside the second line last time out and was strong to the line to be under 4m from the winner in grabbing 3rd. Peaking on her run two starts back when just missing the money, she lands all the options from this alley to throw down the challenge.

SWEETNSPICY (4) was resuming from a spell last start when forced to do it tough outside the leader. In for the fight, she was able to grip on for the silver when 4m from the winner. Added fitness helps.

KNIGHT JUJON (7) was taken back from this gate last week and was making some good metres in the closing stages when midfield behind MAC OREILLY.  He can be making a late play again here.

SELECTIONS: DEFENSE ATTORNEY (3), HAY BALE HUSTLER (1), SWEETNSPICY (4), KNIGHT JUJON (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

With three starts since returning to Qld that have produced two minors, KERBANG (2) faces a big improvement in barriers which should be the catalyst for returning his second victory. A beaten fav last start when 3m from the winner after working in the run, this is well within reach.

MAC OREILLY (8) was 3rd on debut when only 4m astern of the winner AARDIES MIRACLE and with a better passage could have been closer. Eased from gate 6 second up, he let down strongly when set free and arrived to open the account. He will be tucked away and probing to make a challenge.

AARDIES MIRACLE (3) was first up from a spell following his arrival in Qld when taking the trail from gate 1. Still green, he was able to get it done with victory and should benefit from the experience.

PENNIE PACKER (4) grabbed the silver on debut when just a head short of the winner CYCLONE TONY. Taking them all the way second up, she can settle handy enough to be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: KERBANG (2), MAC OREILLY (8), AARDIES MIRACLE (3), PENNIE PACKER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: KERBANG (2) to win

RACE THREE

An open up to NR40 contest here where tempo, position and a tick of luck always helps out. With the gate to find the right position, TUNGSTEN TERROR (1) gets back to the big deck after his past four have been at Redcliffe. Fading last start after being buried, he might just be able to pinch this.

SHEZ ALL STYLE (6) started in red figures from gate 1 here two starts back and after hustling hard to hold them out, was only collared in the closing strides after WILLIEWA LIGHTNING which was camped on her back throughout was able to nab the prize. The gate stings but she can challenge.

BRAEVIEW FELLA (10) held the pocket last start from gate 1 and was trying to make a closing raid when under 2m from the winner. Not suited when parked two starts back, he can join in.

HESLUVABLE (9) can mis his efforts and last start could not go with them at Redcliffe when needed. Strong to the line from gate 10 here three starts back, at his best he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: TUNGSTEN TERROR (1), SHEZ ALL STYLE (6), BRAEVIEW FELLA (10), HESLUVABLE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: TUNGSTEN TERROR (1) to win

RACE FOUR

Locked away three back on the inside last start, CRIME TIME (2) was keen in the run and needed the gap to break free. Once spotting open space, he had the pickup to rattle late and arrive for a narrow margin. Settling in the running line, he can be ready to chase the repeat.

WHATA JOURNEY (9) was a winner here three starts back from this same gate when owning superior closing power. Just a half-neck away at her next outing, she was just behind the money last start as the in-form GOLDIES A DELIGHT arrived. Tempo will be her friend in featuring.

IMA BIRUBI BOY (1) has the speed out of the machine to light the lamps, a role he took on last start from gate 5 and was only collared on the wire. The improved gate can see him right in the fight.

BATMAN BART (8) was wide off the track from outside the second line at Redcliffe last start when down the line. With the chance to follow the speed, he can be stalking ready to strike.

SELECTIONS: CRIME TIME (2), WHATA JOURNEY (9), IMA BIRUBI BOY (1), BATMAN BART (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CRIME TIME (2) to win

RACE FIVE

Fitter following one run back from a spell that came from outside the second line, YANKEE C J (3) will appreciate a return to the front line from this gate. Runner-up at his last run before being shut down back in August, he can be close enough to stake a claim in a wide=open contest.

MYNAMESEVAN (9) started from inside the second line here last week and was soon shuffled to three back in the run. Sprinting up strongly when released, he descended on them to claim a 2m margin. A similar tempo can see him making the late raid once again.

TOMMY BLIGH (5) held the trail from gate 1 last start and with the economical trip was 2m from the winner in holding 2nd. Strong to the line from deep field at Redcliffe two starts back, he can join in.

HEZ ON THE BUZZER (7) is afforded no favours form the outside paint but should enjoy a return to the big deck after three Redcliffe outings since resuming from a spell. He is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: YANKEE C J (3), MYNAMESEVAN (9), TOMMY BLIGH (5), HEZ ON THE BUZZER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: YANKEE C J (3) to win

RACE SIX

Charging off the arm from gate 5 to spear across and lead two starts back, SHEZA CRACKER (1) kept them rolling in front and went on to claim a 12m margin in a PB time. Unable to make it two in the week when gunned down in a mare’s qualifier, back to this grade, she can dictate.

LULU MAE (5) was resuming from a spell off a second line gate when owning superior closing power to finish over the top of them. Trying to take them all the way when second up, a 27.1 opening panel proved too costly, gripping on for the bronze when 7m astern of the winner. She can challenge.

FRANCO NATHAN (10) will take benefit from his last start when resuming from a spell at Marburg and faced with the outside second line alley. With the right cart into the contest, he can feature.

JAY TEE TYRON (8) maps for the soft trip in behind the speed and if able to get into space can chase some minor money. 3rd to RIPPIN RUPERT last start, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: SHEZA CRACKER (1), LULU MAE (5), FRANCO NATHAN (10), JAY TEE TYRON (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZA CRACKER (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

Needing some factors in her favour this time around from the inside second line, MADRIGAL (8) will take further benefit from her last outing. Making her own luck in front to take them all the way from gate 1, she will be sweating on holding the pocket trail and having momentum in the stretch.

ART THOU LEXY (1) will be second up in Qld after a luckless effort first up at Redcliffe. Drawn gate 4, she eased for position and then was searching for openings that did not present when needed. With the big gate improvement, she has all the options to issue the challenge.

GLENLEDI COMMANDER (9) faced a second line gate last start and never really warmed up over the closing stages. The gate is not ideal, but he has podium claims.

BONNIES DANCE (7) has her chances stunted from the wide gate but comes into this with placings at her past three in succession. Hitting the line strongly from this gate last start, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: MADRIGAL (8), ART THOU LEXY (1), GLENLEDI COMMANDER (9), BONNIES DANCE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MADRIGAL (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

Still chasing a Qld victory after seven attempts on this deck, ART JESTER (9) might have found the right race for the breakthrough. Taking his shot off the pocket trip last start when collared in the last stride to be a head from the winner LAST TIME JOE, this looks within reach.

R ELEVEN ART (8) will strip fitter from his last start when resuming from a spell. Showing good arm hustle to find the front before releasing, he was able to hold on for the bronze behind HY VOLTAGE. Needing some factors to fall his way from this gate, if the gap arrives, he can make a challenge.

SPIRIT AND SOUL (6) was working home wide off the track last start from outside the second line at Redcliffe when grabbing the silver behind LUXURY LAD. Luckless two starts back, he is a place hope.

LITTLE BOLT (5) has tackled Saturday night company at his past three in succession, the latest when asked to hang tough first over as TEDDY DISCO dictated. The gate makes it an awkward ask.

SELECTIONS: ART JESTER (9), R ELEVEN ART (8), SPIRIT AND SOUL (7), LITTLE BOLT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ART JESTER (9) to win
