RACE ONE

SPIRIT AND SOUL (9) takes his first look at The Triangle and despite coming up with the outside second line, this looks a drop in grade to what he has been meeting at HQ. 8m from WISPER A SECRET last start, three back he was 4m away in a strong mile. Front tempo helps his cause.

LUXURY LAD (4) tackled a non-TAB event here last week and sent hard off the arm to take control, put on a power running performance to pull clear to a 15m margin. Beaten by a second line gate when 9m from SAINT CRUSADER two starts back, he can get forward to throw down the challenge.

B MAC C (7) was rattling late here two starts back and went within an eyelash of victory as PELICAN FLY arrived. Stuck for position last start, he will be tucked away and awaiting the gap to chime in.

SHADOW MINISTER (6) is afforded no favours from the outside paint but finds a race that should generate some good heat. Too far back last start against the tempo, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: SPIRIT AND SOUL (9), LUXURY LAD (4), B MAC C (7), SHADOW MINISTER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SPIRIT AND SOUL (9) to win

RACE TWO

The first of two BOTRA Young Driver Series heats and with the good gate, SHADYS CULLECT (1) maps to get the ideal trip and add another victory to her tally. Trying to launch a raid up the passing lane last start from inside the second line, she has good arm hustle and has the options to capitalise.

FIVE STAR GEM (7) was sent forward and content to sit parked was too tough in claiming a gritty victory. Buried in the run two starts back when 3rd to MUSIC MOTH, he maps to be tucked in behind the speed and will be ready to take his shot when the gap arrives.

JIMMY JOYCE (3) rolled forward from gate 5 last start and sitting parked was able to claim a starchy victory, with a narrow margin on the line. With two wins in three starts on this deck, he is right in this.

HEY MISTER TAYLOR (6) has no favours from the wide gate as he continues to chase an elusive 2023 victory. Placed at his past two attempts, he can be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: SHADYS CULLECT (1), FIVE STAR GEM (7), JIMMY JOYCE (3), HEY MISTER TAYLOR (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SHADYS CULLECT (1) to win

RACE THREE

RIVERINA FLASH (8) was a winner over the sprint trip three starts back when overcoming a second line gate and finishing best to claim a 6m margin. Trying to make ground from deep in the pack at his past two, he can trail through early and be looking to power home over the top.

BUKTHSYSTEM (3) scored over the AP mile three starts back when burrowing through from gate 1 to take them all the way. Grabbing 3rd behind MAJOR MONDO in a Cup Day heat last time out after starting from inside the second line, he can press forward here to throw down the challenge.

MONTEREY JACK (9) fired out to find the front last start at the 1780 and form the front was worried out of it when beaten a half-head. With some tough gates in recent outings, he is a podium hope.

MUSIC MOTH (6) fired out from gate 4 two starts back and was able to see it out from the front. Trying to fight them off last start when beaten a neck, the 2040 and wide gate dent her hopes.

SELECTIONS: RIVERINA FLASH (8), BUKTHSYSTEM (3), MONTEREY JACK (9), MUSIC MOTH (6)
SUGGESTED BET: RIVERINA FLASH (8) to win

RACE FOUR

The second Young drivers heat with early speed the key. MALINJANG (2) was asked to sit parked last start and after the tough trip wilted over the latter stages to finish at the rear. Controlling it in front at Marburg two starts back, if she can get across to the front, she will take some stitching.

WESTERN SHOWGIRL (1) was content to sit parked here three starts back after rolling forward from gate 5 and was able to grind out the prize. Second line gates have dented the hopes at her past two starts and with the big gate improvement will be throwing it down here.

SUNRISE RUBY (7) started form the second line here last week where she settled in the running line and then had too much closing power in arriving for a narrow victory. She is in the mix again.

DEVOUGED (6) comes up with another wide alley, starting no closer than gate 4 at his past 15 in succession. Descending on them from deep field two starts back, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: MALINJANG (2), WESTERN SHOWGIRL (1), SUNRISE RUBY (7), DEVOUGED (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-6-7

RACE FIVE

Five heats for this Final were held last Tuesday and the fastest heat winner was MAJOR MONDO (9) which sat in the 1x1 trail from gate 5 before pulling clear to post a 15m margin. Unbeaten in three starts since arriving in Qld, he can look to maintain the record.

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (1) has been runner-up at her past three in succession, the latest a tough effort in her heat where she was left exposed outside the leader but was able to grind it out for the silver. A tough effort from outside the second line here two starts back, she has the gate to challenge.

DONNY JONES (7) forced the issue from a wide gate and worked to the front and held them off to claim a 4m margin in his heat. The second line makes it a tougher ask.

TORQUE IN CONTROL (10) has been super consistent with placings in fiver of her past six outings. Burrowing through before taking the trail in her heat when 4m from the winner, she can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR MONDO (9), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (1), DONNY JONES (7), TORQUE IN CONTROL (10)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR MONDO (9) to win

RACE SIX

TACKAS LAST DANCE (9) was sent to sit parked two starts back from gate 3 and after the tough trip was able to hold on for the silver as HOLME BOY saw it out. Finding the front last start in a Cup Day Heat, she could not see it out. Back to this grade, the tempo looks right for her to descend.

DUKE (8) has placed at his past two and should take good benefit from the latest outing where he was first up off a freshen. Trying to make a late raid as VALLANI MAGIC saw it out from the front, he can get the right trip to make a closing challenge.

SONNY ORLANDO (3) had placed in three successive starts heading into his latest run when doing some early work before receiving running line cover. Just 2m from the winner, he can feature here.

CHASIN DREAMZ (5) was sent out as fav last start from this same gate and after rolling forward to sit parked, was fighting hard to be under 4m from the winner. She might be rolling the sleeves again.

SELECTIONS: TACKAS LAST DANCE (9), DUKE (8), SONNY ORLANDO (3), CHASIN DREAMZ (5)
SUGGESTED BET: TACKAS LAST DANCE (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

SOMEONES WATCHING (4) did not have the smoothest passage last start but was outclassed, as were all the opposition behind the big winner. Meeting four other runners out of that same event, he can look to get forward and if able to pinch a panel or three, can break maiden ranks.

ENZED FLYER (7) has been runner-up at three of his past five starts as he continues to chase the elusive maiden breaker. Asked to sit parked last week, he was best of the rest as CALL TO ORDER claimed a dominant margin. Wide at Marburg two starts back, he will be probing.

CRADOCK (6) made a critical error last start at HQ in a small field but chased gamely as ROCKTIME arrived. Game in defeat two starts back behind MULLUM ROXY, the gate stings but he is in the mix.

FANCY LIKE BARBIE (8) has placed at her past two from wide front line gates Snagged back last start she may have been closer but was never a winning threat as CALL TO ORDER ripped clear.

SELECTIONS: SOMEONES WATCHING (4), ENZED FLYER (7), CRADOCK (6), FANCY LIKE BARBIE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SOMEONES WATCHING (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

GHOST TRAIN (9) was a winner from the second line here three starts back when tracking home strong wide off the track to arrive for a 4m margin. Derailed two starts back when asked to sit parked, he was not that far away last start when wide late. He can arrive on time.

MAJOR MISCHIEF (2) was sent forward from the wide gate to sit parked last start and after the tough trip faded in the latter stages. A similar trip eventuated from outside the front line two runs back and with the ticket back into the main draw can see him force the issue and challenge.

FLOORLESS (5) will appreciate this grade after tackling a Cup Day heat last start and finishing out of the money behind UNDERTHEKILT. A tough winner four runs back, she can work if required.

DATSINAHURRI (3) showed early hustle last start to find the front from gate 3 before taking cover and finishing 6m from the winner PURPLE SHADES. Her early speed is a great asset.

SELECTIONS: GHOST TRAIN (9), MAJOR MISCHIEF (2), FLOORLESS (5), DATSINAHURRI (3)
SUGGESTED BET: GHOST TRAIN (9) to win

RACE NINE

SAMANTHA CEE (1) has had two runs back from a spell where she has placed in both on this deck. Snookered three back from inside the second line last start, she was trying to make late metres on the passing lane as AIR EXPRESS arrived. From this gate, she has the options to capitalise.

SHEEZ GOT TORQUE (2) has been runner-up at her past here in succession, the latest when settled in the 1x1 trail and making a late raid to get within a half-neck of the winner THREENTWO. Trying to see it out from the front two starts back, she can be close enough to throw it down.

ALWAYS EXCLUSIF (8) was trying to make a late raid last start and followed SHEEZ GOT TORQUE into the battle when finishing 3rd. Following through early, she has podium claims.

GOOD BOOTS BINDI (7) returns from a spell for a third 2YO campaign and was not asked for much in a recent AP trial. With the map to receive an economical trip, she can grab a minor.

SELECTIONS: SAMANTHA CEE (1), SHEEZ GOT TORQUE (2), ALWAYS EXCLUSIF (8), GOOD BOOTS BINDI (7)
SUGGESTED BET:
