RACE ONE

Making the most of his early hustle to charge across and take control last start, FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (2) put the bite on his rival out in front, putting the torch on them to pull clear to a 15m margin highlighted by a sizzling 26.6 close out. From the front, they will know what they have to chase.

NO TIME LIKE NOW (3) was first up in Qld for Shane Graham last start when striking trouble and his day was done. Having trialled in good order in readiness for that first outing, he can look to sneak down to the markers and with the easy trip attempt to bridge the gap.

RED RIGHT HAND (5) was slated as an emergency for the ID23 and after not being required, will have his first run in Qld since a NSW campaign. A Menangle winner two starts back, he can place.

STORMTIDE (1) should appreciate the soft peg trip which he should receive from this gate. A winner from the trail two back, he was luckless last start and never found a clean run.

SELECTIONS: FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (2), NO TIME LIKE NOW (3), RED RIGHT HAND (5), STORMTIDE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (2) to win

RACE TWO

Resuming from a long layoff back in early November, TEDDY DISCO (1) led them up and just peaked in the closing stages to finish 2nd. Seeing it out when second up, last start the lead rights were too expensive, breaking 26 the opening panel. Holding on for 3rd, a steadier time here will help.

OUR MAJOR DAY (8) looks to be the recipient of the perfect trip in behind the speed from this gate and should appreciate being on the poles from the get-go after wide gates at his past three. Strong to the line three back when runner-up to HY VOLTAGE, he can issue the closing challenge.

HY VOLTAGE (7) eased in the early stages last start at the mile before making a forward move and with 700 to run had found the spot outside the leader. Saved for one shot, he can make a play.

POCKET THE CASH (4) rolled forward from gate 6 to sit parked here three starts back at this trip and despite the tough trip, was able to snare the prize. Runner-up at his next start, he is right in this.

SELECTIONS: TEDDY DISCO (1), OUR MAJOR DAY (8), HY VOLTAGE (7), POCKET THE CASH (4)
SUGGESTED BET: TEDDY DISCO (1) to win

RACE THREE

Making her first Qld appearance here last week when faced with the outside second line, FOREVER A DANCER (4) descended on them in the closing stages to claim victory and set a new career PB. Switching to the Stephen Cini barn, she moves to the front line and gets her chance to repeat.

PLAYA BLANCA (1) tried to fight them off from this alley last start when burrowing through to hold the front and looking for an all the way performance. Leading every step bar the one that counted, she was just an eyelash short of victory. From the gate, she can throw it down again.

CAPTAIN OF SPEED (2) eased from gate 6 to find position last start and from back in the pack was strong to the line in the closing stages behind MIGHT AS WELL. From this gate, she is in the mix.

SERGIOS ROCKET (7) faced the outside second line last start in a qualifier and saved for the last shot, launched at the 700 and was in front by the 500 to blast them off the track. The gate dents the repeat hopes.

SELECTIONS: FOREVER A DANCER (4), PLAYA BLANCA (1), CAPTAIN OF SPEED (2), SERGIOS ROCKET (7)
SUGGESTED BET: FOREVER A DANCER (4) to win

RACE FOUR

Backing up from Tuesday where he was able to overcome a 30m impost, TOP OF THE MOMENT (12) made it successive wins this prep. Finding the front by the time they had travelled 400m, he had worked home off speed at his first up victory. The extreme gate in a full field is a query, but he looks to have the answers.

SHOW ME THE GRAY (10) will be first up in Qld and makes his first appearance in over 12 months. A winner at Kaikoura on Cup Day last year, he looked smart at the most recent of three trials and if the condition can hold up, he can throw down a serious challenge.

ITSALLANDOVER (2) is chasing down a hat-trick of victories after wins from the stand and mobile at his past two. Pressing to the front and taking them all the way last week, he is right in the fight.

KING CITY (4) found the trail behind TOP OF THE MOMENT here on Tuesday night and chased hard to the wire to be just a half-neck short of the prize. With good mobile credentials, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: TOP OF THE MOMENT (12), SHOW ME THE GRAY (10), ITSALLANDOVER (2), KING CITY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: TOP OF THE MOMENT (12) to win

RACE FIVE

PERFECT TREND (8) will be relying on some factors in her favour but if the right scenario can unfold, she will get her chance. First up for the new stable and off the back of a spell last start, she was game in defeat when parked as MYDADSAID darted up the passing lane. The passing lane with momentum is what she needs.

SHEZA CRACKER (1) led them up last start before being pressured and releasing with 1000 to run and then was flat chasing to just miss the money as FOREVER A DANCER arrived. From the gate, the pressure looks limited, and she can look to fight them off.

APHRODITE (9) was sent forward from the wide gate to sit parked last start and despite the tough trip was in for the fight in holding on for 2nd behind SERGIOS ROCKET. She can feature.

KATLAS DREAM (2) sat in the 1x2 in the run last start from a second line gate and was strong to the line to grab 3rd behind SEERGIOS ROCKET. Settling handy, she has podium claims again.

SELECTIONS: PERFECT TREND (8), SHEZA CRACKER (1), APHRODITE (9), KATLAS DREAM (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (10) had been struggling to convert on race day, but bad gates were not helping his cause. Returning to the trials with a smart hit out, he overcame the outside second line on a sloppy track last start in an impressive performance. Tempo will be his friend again here.

ARCHILLES (9) was sent to the post as fav last start from outside the front line and after easing for position, was charging home in the closing stages to be just a half-neck from the winner in a blanket finish. Placed in six of his previous seven, he can trail through from this gate to issue a challenge.

MACH DADDY (3) faced gate 1 last start and after releasing the speed was able to hold on for the bronze behind KADAR. Settling handy, he can be chasing another podium.

MAYWYN TROUBADOUR (1) was back in winning form last start when eased from gate 6 over the Redcliffe sprint before powering over the top in nice order. Back to the big deck off a tight gate are both positive additions.

SELECTIONS: ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (10), ARCHILLES (9), MACH DADDY (3), MAYWYN TROUBADOUR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (10) to win

RACE SEVEN

LUXURY LAD (2) does his best work when up near the speed and from this gate secures his chance to press forward and stake a claim. Going back-to-back at Redcliffe in slick time on each occasion, the next three have been slightly tougher and against this line up, he can look to take control.

NOT THE KINGSWOOD (6) forced the issue from outside the front line at Marburg last start and working to the front was then able to finish them off with a slick last half to take the prize. A tough 3rd at Redcliffe three back when 2m from subsequent winner SEGIOS ROCKET, he can throw it down.

THE WATERBOY (10) lands another second line gate after faced with this same alley last start when trying to make ground from back in the pack. Tempo and the right trail will aid his chances.

HARRY KANE (8) was working home wide off the track last start when finishing midfield. Luckless here two starts back when searching for gaps that did not materialise, he will be probing for the openings.

SELECTIONS: LUXURY LAD (2), NOT THE KINGSWOOD (6), THE WATERBOY (10), HARRY KANE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: LUXURY LAD (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

This is a tough contest to close the card over the 2138 where a rub of the green and position in run will be required. MOSSDALE TERRY (9) was caught parked last start with many in this race bringing the same FRANKIE FEROCIOUS form. A neck from OK BOOMER two back, he can trail through and look to overpower them.

OK BOOMER (7) is afforded no favours from the outside paint but has been in good touch since arriving in Qld. Best of the chasing pack to be runner-up last start, he capitalised on the front line to take them all the way in the Bill Dixon three back. Tempo will be vital for his challenging chances.

CHISELED (5) had the benefit of gate 1 last start and after releasing FRANKIE FEROCIOUS tried his best to chase over the closing stages when 3rd. Positioning cheaply will be key to his chances.

ARODA (3) was too far back to make an impression as FRANKIE FEROCIOUS put it out of reach of anything chasing last start. Locked away two back as AARDIES FLAS arrived, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: MOSSDALE TERRY (9), OK BOOMER (7), CHISELED (5), ARODA (3)
SUGGESTED BET:
