RACE ONE

Strong to the line last start from a second line barrier, MAKARA (3) was under 4m from the winner SMART MIRACLE in sharp time. Luckless when buried the start prior as BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS was allowed to dictate in front, his effort three back behind PACIFICO DREAM was full of merit. He is up to this.

CAPTAIN NEMO (1) was asked to work in the run last start from gate 6 and after the tough trip, faded over the closing stages to finish near the rear. Chasing from the running line behind ARODA the start prior, he lands all the favours from this alley to challenge.

LIGHTNING DAN (5) was locked away on the poles last start when unable to make a late impression as ARODA pulled clear to score. A tough 2nd two starts back, positioning cheaply can help his chances.

BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS (4) made full use of the good gate and getting back to B5 company last start when leading throughout. Aided by a pedestrian 33.1 second split, he steps up to the 2138 here which looks a test.

SELECTIONS: MAKARA (3), CAPTAIN NEMO (1), LIGHTNING DAN (5), BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MAKARA (3) to win

RACE TWO

This race looks a two-horse battle between the stable mates and by virtue of the draw, PACIFICO DREAM (2) can look to add another AP victory to his name. Strong to the line last start chasing BIG SKEWY after facing a wide gate, he returns to a lamp lighting gate here and undefeated in front, he can look to maintain that record.

TIMS A TROOPER (3) comes through the Inter Dominion Series where he was possibly below what his best can be. Well covered behind CANTFINDABETTORMAN in the Consolation, a drop back to this grade is a huge boost and can help get the confidence back on track.

RED RIGHT HAND (8) chased home for the bronze behind FRANKIE FEROCIOUS two starts back and last start was strong to the line behind ALTA REVELRY. A soft trip can see him grab a minor here.

SHEZ NOTORIOUS (1) continued her wonderful season here last week when rattling late to overcome gate 7 and claim her seventh win of the season. This is another step up, but the gate is a huge asset.

SELECTIONS: PACIFICO DREAM (2), TIMS A TROOPER (3), RED RIGHT HAND (8), SHEZ NOTORIOUS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: PACIFICO DREAM (2) to win, Exotics 2 / 3 / 1-5-6-8

RACE THREE

Unable to snare a victory in this grade despite being super consistent, ARGYLE (2) might finally have found the conditions for the breakthrough. Asked to sit parked last start when holding 3rd behind AARDIES FLASH, the start prior he was under 2m from the winner. Three back he was runner-up to PACIFICO DREAM, and this looks his time to shine.

KATACHA MAN (1) eased to find position last start and ended up four back against the poles before picking off some closing metres in the stretch without ever really sighting the gap to fully unwind. Tyring to take them all the way at Redcliffe two starts back, he has the options here to challenge.

LUVBITE (4) finished midfield last start when flashing some early hustle before settling in the running line. 8m from the winner GOTTA GO MILKING, if he can limit the early burn, he has podium claims.

BURNS BAY (9) produced a sharper effort last start when using the passing lane to finish just outside the money behind ROCKTAGONAL. With second line gates in his past three, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: ARGYLE (2), KATACHA MAN (1), LUVBITE (4), BURNS BAY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: ARGYLE (2) to win

RACE FOUR

A small field for the qualifying mares but it shapes as a tricky battler to dissect. A wide gate does the chances of BORN TO WRITE (7) no favours, but she might just have a class edge. A big winner tat Redcliffe two starts back when fresh, she was buried last start when 3rd to APHRODITE. With the right trip she is up to this.

SII SEMPRE TILLY (8) tackled the Inter Regional Final last start where from gate 5, she was exposed early before receiving cover but could not go on with it late. Winning the heat of that Series from the 1x1 trail, with the second line options, she can look to throw down the challenge.

COPY WRITER (6) was resuming from a spell last start when eased to the poles from gate 4 and finishing off in nice order to grab 3rd behind SHEREACTS. The gate makes it hard but with the sharper effort first up and taking benefit from the run, she can chime in.

DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (4) was runner-up at Redcliffe two starts back over the 2040 and then here last week, tried to find position when forced to retreat to the poles. Finding a spot cheaply aids her hopes.

SELECTIONS: BORN TO WRITE (7), COPY WRITER (6), SII SEMPRE TILLY (8), DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BORN TO WRITE (7) to win

RACE FIVE

The winner of one of her nine on this deck, ROCKNROLL MAMA (1) lands a big gate improvement on recent efforts. Overcoming gate 10 to score here two starts back at the mile when set alight at the 700 to be in front by the 400 and see it out, she snares all the options in this line up to chalk another win to the tally.

MISSTREPO (2) scored a smart win wide off the track at Redcliffe two starts back when defying the outside second line gate to score. Tucked away from inside the second line last start and then only 5m from the winner SHEZ NOTORIOUS, she finds the chance to drop straight down to the poles and chase a snipers victory.

FOREVER A DANCER (5) charged from deep field to score a qualifying win here three starts back and was a beaten fav at the next start behind CHARLIES ACE. A starchy performance last time when only 4m from the winner, she can throw it down in this.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL MAMA (1), MISSTREPO (2), FOREVER A DANCER (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNROLL MAMA (1) to win

RACE SIX

After progressing through to the Inter Dominion Final, VAN SANK (6) was given no favours when landing barrier 7 and against the big hitters, faced mission impossible. A handy 4th behind JUST BELIEVE in the Final heat, back to this grade in the small field, he should be able to flex.

KINGDOM COME (4) came from the 20m tape and eased to the markers for the economical trip last start and then had the closing power to descend on them and take a 6m margin. Carted backward behind a tiring runner the start prior, he has some early hustle and can issue a challenge.

NORTIE NORTIE (3) is a two-time winner from behind the start car, the most recent of those victories just two starts back. Buried on the poles in that contest, he charged hard in the closing stages to claim the cash. Runner-up off 20m last start, the small field suits his chances.

SELECTIONS: VAN SANK (6), KINGDOM COME (4), NORTIE NORTIE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: VAN SANK (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

Starting from this same gate last start in a mare’s qualifier, SHEZ GOT BLING (1) held the trail but could not go with them in the closing stages. Making some late metres to grab the bronze two starts back, she was strong to the line three back when grabbing 2nd. This looks easier than last start.

FILLY THIRTEEN (4) has placed in her past two attempts, the latest when locked away against the poles and charging late to be 8m from the winner INCOGNITO is sharp time. Collared late when leading at Redcliffe two starts back, she can get handy to issue a challenge.

TAYLORS FOUR (7) is afforded no favours from outside the front line but her recent attempts have been in stronger company that she meets here.  Not far from WOODLEA DIEGO last start, she is right in this.

KATLAS DREAM (6) settled in the 1x1 trail last start when down the line behind APHRODITE. With the place money up for grabs in an open event, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: SHEZ GOT BLING (1), FILLY THIRTEEN (4), TAYLORS FOUR (7), KATLAS DREAM (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZ GOT BLING (1) to win
