RACE ONE

A 4YO mare making her race debut, YUKON BE SERIOUS (1) is by Net Ten Eom, a stallion that stood in NZ and has had limited exposure. This mare trialled in good order to earn the race ticket, with that trial producing the smart winner TAMARAH. With the gate, she strikes a winnable maiden.

PUNTERS JEWEL (6) was an eye catcher when qualifying in a recent trial. Finding the front, he set a solid clip and was only collared late by a two-time winning 4YO. That was the same trial that TAMARAH came out of and the gelded son of Ohoka Punter can look to throw it down on debut.

POWERMOVE (2) is a 3YO daughter of Rock N Roll Heaven on debut out of the former handy race mare Covert Beauty. With a tidy trial effort behind HOT ROD HARRY, the debutants look to hold the keys to this contest.

SHELEFTALOTOFBLING (3) will be second up from a long break after returning when just behind the money as HOT ROD HARRY blitzed them. Race experience can aid her chances.

SELECTIONS: YUKON BE SERIOUS (1), PUNTERS JEWEL (6), POWERMOVE (2), SHELEFTALOTOFBLING (3)
SUGGESTED BET: YUKON BE SERIOUS (1) to win

RACE TWO

Off the back of a sharp trial, HOT ROD HARRY (8) was sent out deep into the red on debut and justified the short quote when putting them away to claim a 13m victory in a slick debut performance. The inside second line looks his biggest obstacle in remaining undefeated.

DEFENSE ATTORNEY (5) was a comfortable debut winner when leading throughout and then second up, started in red figures but was unplaced behind ROCKIN IN PARADISE. Taking further experience from the performance, he can issue a challenge.

ROCKIN IN PARADISE (6) was second up last start when eased from gate 7, he had the power to descend on them and claim a slick maiden breaking win. Runner-up to DEFENSE ATTORNEY at his first Qld outing, he cannot be ignored.

GOLDEN BAY (9) made the most of gate 1 to take them all the way two starts back and then last start tackled a qualifier when strong to the line in the closing stages. He has place claims.

SELECTIONS: HOT ROD HARRY (8), DEFENSE ATTORNEY (5), ROCKIN IN PARADISE (6), GOLDEN BAY (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

Settled back in the pack at Wagga last start, MONTEREI DUKE (6) could not get warm in the closing stages and finished at the rear of the field. Runner-up at Menangle three starts back when finding the pocket trail from ta wide gate, he finds an ideal up to NR40 contest first up in Qld to cash in.

CRIME TIME (3) found himself parked last start from two the second line and was in for the fight when holding on for the silver behind FLY CHEVAL. Luckless the start prior from inside the second line, he can settle handy from this alley to issue a challenge.

KALYPSO KING (8) was sent out deep into the red last start from gate 1 and settled in the trail, could not reel them in when finishing 2m from the winner ROCKNROLL DA GAMA. He will be probing again.

MISS PAU (1) should benefit from the soft trip in behind the speed and will be probing for the openings to make a podium play.

SELECTIONS: MONTEREI DUKE (6), CRIME TIME (3), KALYPSO KING (8), MISS PAU (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTEREI DUKE (6) to win

RACE FOUR

Fired off the arm from gate 3 to find the front last start, SHEZA CRACKER (3) was able to see them off to claim a narrow victory. With good speed out of the machine, she can dart across again here and if allowed to dictate in front, can make them pay.

ANGELSHAVYIME (6) is the query runner, a lightly raced mare, stepping out in Qld for the first time for the visiting Cernovskis stable from the wide gate. A Canberra winner two starts back, she was a winner on debut at Wagga back in April. With only four starts to her name, she stays under watch.

JAY TEE TYRON (8) has found some nice form in recent outings at Redcliffe, the latest when forcing the issue to work to the front and prove too strong. A winner three back, he will be probing.

JUSTROLLINGAROUND (1) eased to find the fence last start and then tried to make a late raid in a much stronger mare’s contest behind SHEZ NOTORIOUS. Tucked in behind, she can make a late play.

SELECTIONS: SHEZA CRACKER (3), ANGELSHAVYIME (6), JAY TEE TYRON (8), JUSTROLLINGAROUND (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZA CRACKER (3) to win

RACE FIVE

A tricky contest to weigh up here, made no easier with the 2138 making another question that many of these may not answer. RIVERINA FLASH (9) has been runner-up at both his most recent appearances, the latest when strong to the line from deep field at Redcliffe. This is a step up, but the distance looks favourable.

FRANCO NATHAN (12) made an error last start when tackling a qualifier that saw him face the ODM embargo and consequently has the outside second line here. Looking sharp in a recent trial, he was drawn the second line in both starts before the embargo and can issue a challenge in this line up.

FLY CHEVAL (6) faces the wide gate but brings a last start victory to consider after arriving over the mile. A Marburg winner three back from the front, a steady time early will aid her chances.

ROCKNROLL MAX (10) was a Redcliffe winner three starts back when spotting a late gap and darting through to score from inside the second line. Despite a tricky gate, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: RIVERINA FLASH (9), FRANCO NATHAN (12), FLY CHEVAL (6), ROCKNROLL MAX (10)
SUGGESTED BET: RIVERINA FLASH (9) to win

RACE SIX

Runner-up in both starts since joining the new stable, DIAMOND BIKINI (3) sights the front line for the first time in Qld. Hitting the line in nice order last start when just a half-head short of victory, she has good arm speed and can be near the pointy end to stake her claim.

BOGLE MCNEEP (6) was first up since crossing the Tasman when asked to sit parked. In for the fight, he rallied in the stretch to get within a half-head of the winner in a slice rate. Benefiting from the run, the gate hurts but he can look to throw it down once again.

ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (2) settled in the 1x1 trail last start and was sound to the line when 7m astern of the winner BRONSKI DELIGHT. 3rd two starts back, she can be handy enough to feature.

BETTING ORIGIN (9) eased from gate 6 to find the fence last start over the mile and was strong to the line to be just a pimple short of the prize. He will be closing hard again here.

SELECTIONS: DIAMOND BIKINI (3), BOGLE MCNEEP (6), ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (2), BETTING ORIGIN (9)
SUGGESTED BET: DIAMOND BIKINI (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

Asked to hang tough outside the leader last start, CATSEYE BEACH (3) was dead game as HANDS ON took them all the way in a slick 1.52.1 mile. Holding on for the silver when 6m away, a wide gate hampered his chances two starts back. He might need to roll the sleeves here but looks up to it.

OFFYAROCKA CROCKER (9) was snagged off the gate last start to settle at the rear before making some late metres to be just out of the money behind LANAI. Midfield the start prior, he is racing well, but just cannot find the right conditions. He can trail through here to issue a challenge.

MYDADSAID (10) is two from two since resuming from a spell and second up overcame the outside second line at Redcliffe, finishing hard to score. The gate stings the threepeat chance.

LETIHEN BURN (2) was unable to finish it off last start when sitting parked and two starts back found the front and was only nabbed in the last strides. From the front, he will take some cracking.

SELECTIONS: CATSEYE BEACH (3), OFFYAROCKA CROCKER (9), MYDADSAID (10), LETIHEN BURN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-3-9-10

RACE EIGHT

Stripping fitter following one run back from a spell, BOMB SUIT (3) lands his first chance in veteran’s grade with eh change of season. Slammed with the outside front line when resuming, he was snagged back early and then hoping for luck. With arm hustle, he can get forward to take his shot.

GAME SET MAJOR (6) is back for another holidaying campaign, last sighted on this deck in January of 2022 and with only three other runs since that appearance. Last raced in March of 2023, it was a fruitless three start campaign. With four trials to prepare, he should benefit from the outing.

JIMARTEE (10) is a newcomer to Qld and will be first up from a spell for Cristina Monte. A Penrith winner three starts back, with the right trail, he can feature fresh.

COMMODORE JUJON (7) faces the tough gate after being handed the ODM embargo from an error two starts back. Strong to the line last start, he can feature in this line up.

SELECTIONS: BOMB SUIT (3), GAME SET MAJOR (6), JIMARTEE (10), COMMODORE JUJON (7)
SUGGESTED BET: BOMB SUIT (3) to win
