RACE ONE

Stepping out in Qld for the first time, KODA DA MODA (4) joins the Dwyer stable with limited race experience. A winner at Maryborough two starts back to break maiden ranks, she followed that with a 2nd at Melton. The standing start is a big query, but if she masters that, she can capitalise.

GLENEAGLE REIGN (6) was resuming from a spell last time when snookered away on the inside as NORTIE NORTIE proved too strong. The return to these conditions against this opposition looks more suitable and with a safe start from the tapes can look to issue the challenge.

DEAD SET CRAZY (3) took on the pacers last start over the mobile mile when faced with the outside front line gate. Beating a couple home, a return to square gait company can see him feature.

BANFF (7) faces a task from the back mark but should be further tightened from his latest outing when second up from a break. Hitting the line in nice order for the bronze, he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: KODA DA MODA (4), GLENEAGLE REIGN (6), DEAD SET CRAZY (3), BANFF (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

Making the most of her great tape manners last start, JUST CALL ME MOLLY (2) was able to find the trail soon after the start from her 10m impost and with the economical trip, thereafter, was able to pull clear to a 10m margin in the stretch. A similar scenario can unfold here for her to chase a repeat.

KOHLI TROUBLE (5) has had three starts since arriving in the Sunshine State and shown steady improvement at each offering. Stepping safely off the 20m last start to find the front and then release for the trail, it was a tidy 2nd to ITSALLANDOVER. Building off that can see him challenge.

HAMMER SON (4) will take some benefit from last start where he was returning from a spell and eased to the fence for the soft trip. A similar trip but settled closer can see him chime in.

REGAL APPOINTMENT (9) has no favours from the back tape, but in this grade can shape as some form of chance. Under 2m from the winner last start from the mobile, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: JUST CALL ME MOLLY (2), KOHLI TROUBLE (5), HAMMER SON (4), REGAL APPOINTMENT (9)
SUGGESTED BET: JUST CALL ME MOLLY (2) to win

RACE THREE

An open trot here where position, manners and tempo could allow a case to be made for most of the field. Second up from a spell KENNY KEKO (7) should take some good benefit from her first up appearance when resuming after 12 months off the scene. Sound to the line for 3rd, with the added fitness, she might just pinch this.

ITSALLANDOVER (2) has put together a tidy record here at HQ since arriving in Qld and last start completed his fourth victory on this deck. Pressing on from the 30m tape to take control, he was able to pull clear to a 13m margin. Back to a front tape, but up in grade, he can throw it down.

CLAUDY AN GUS (1) is another that should strip fitter from his last outing where he was resuming from a spell. If he brings the manners for the front tape, he can be close enough to chime in.

NORTIE NORTIE (9) claimed a mobile victory last start when rolling forward to sit parked and graft out a smart victory. The 30m is a tough ask, but it is one which he can overcome.

SELECTIONS: KENNY KEKO (7), ITSALLANDOVER (2), CLAUDY AN GUS (1), NORTIE NORTIE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: KENNY KEKO (7) to win

RACE FOUR

Well supported here on Friday, SPORTS BOUNTY (3) secured the 1x1 trail and held on for the silver behind BAD BOY BORIS. Too far back the start prior from a second line gate, he finds the chance to be handy to the action here and gets his chance to capitalise.

BEACH ON FIRE (6) settled in the 1x1 trail last start in similar company and had the closing speed to arrive for the prize and justify the red figures on offer. Runner-up here three starts back, the gate is not ideal, but he is going well enough to throw down the challenge.

MONTEREI DUKE (7) was a winner from gate 5 at his first look at this track two starts back after pressing to the front. Holding 3rd last time as a beaten fav, he can feature again here.

BLUE BLOODZ (5) was not far from the winner last start at the 2138 and should be far better suited here back to the mile. Positioning cheaply will be key to his podium hopes.

SELECTIONS: SPORTS BOUNTY (3), BEACH ON FIRE (6), MONTEREI DUKE (7), BLUE BLOODZ (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

FRANCO NATHAN (6) is given no favours from the wide gate, but he might just have found the right set up here to break a 12 month win drought. Tackling the 2138 last start when snookered back in the pack, this race looks to generate some heat and he can look to descend on them.

FANTASY BLASTER (5) took the trail at the 2138 last start in a race that quite a few of these back up from. Finishing 8m from the winner MY ULTIMATE RUDI, she was first up from a let up after finishing as a beaten fav the start prior at Redcliffe. Back to the mile, she can look to issue a challenge.

LANCELOT BROMAC (1) is always a risk from this gate at this stage of his career as there is every chance he will be buried. Strong to the line over the latter stages last week for 3rd, he will be probing.

KULANI COURAGE (10) was asked to sit parked over the 2138 last start and was in for the fight with a starchy effort to be under 3m from the passing lane winner. He can chime in again here.

SELECTIONS: FRANCO NATHAN (6), FANTASY BLASTER (5), LANCELOT BROMAC (1), KULANI COURAGE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: FRANCO NATHAN (6) to win

RACE SIX

Hitting good areas in recent outings, R ELEVEN ART (4) has been in the money at his past three in succession. Too strong for them two starts back when parked, he was strong to the line last start when 1m from the winner BANGKOK DEEJAY. This looks within reach.

LOUTENANT (3) was first up for the new stable last start when working hard in the run from gate 6 and forced to cover plenty of the track. A winner here from behind the tapes in Saturday night company three runs back, he can settle close enough to issue a challenge here.

COMMODORE JUJON (7) is given no favours from the outside paint but might just find this a shade easier than his recent opposition. Runner-up last start to OUR MAJOR DAY, he is right in the fight.

HEAVEN ATTRACTS (2) was first up off a spell for his first Qld appearance last week when midfield from gate 5. With some added fitness and improved gate, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: R ELEVEN ART (4), LOUTENANT (3), COMMODORE JUJON (7), HEAVEN ATTRACTS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: R ELEVEN ART (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

Tackling the FFA Christmas Cup last start, ROCK BOTTOM (6) was buried in the run from the inside second line and never in the hunt as ALTA REVELRY claimed the prize. That was on a short back-up from the Redcliffe Christmas Cup and back to this grade, he gets his chance to cash in.

BOMBADIER JUJON (9) drops back into veteran’s grade for the first time and can bring some handy efforts against strong opposition in recent outings. Just 6m from HY VOLTAGE on Sat night after being snookered in the run, he only needs the right ounce of luck in transit to take this.

CARDLESFROMHEAVEN (7) should take good benefit from his return to the track last start when eased in the early stages from this same gate before following the poles for the bronze.

PARAMA (5) faded last start when sent forward from outside the front line and after working triple time parked out, finished rearward. He might need to work again here.

SELECTIONS: ROCK BOTTOM (6), BOMBADIER JUJON (9), CARDLESFROMHEAVEN (7), PARAMA (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

Overcoming the outside second line last start, JUSTROLLINGAROUND (9) rattled late down the centre of the track to claim a narrow victory. Not too far from the inform GRACENAVA three runs back, this race should generate some pressure and she can look to charge hard.

MY GIRL MANDY (1) has struggled to convert her opportunities on this deck with just one minor in 13 appearances. Just out of the money from this same gate last start behind RISE ABOVE ALL, she has the chance to secure the ideal trip and improve her figures.

JAY TEE TYRON (6) drew wide on the second line last start and was strong to the line when runner-up behind MY ULTIMATE RUDI. The gate makes it a tough ask, but he can be joining in late.

YANKEE C J (8) was sent forward from a wide gate last start and tried to see it out in front but faded over the middle trip. Saved for a probing run, he can fill the minors.

SELECTIONS: JUSTROLLINGAROUND (9), MY GIRL MANDY (1), JAY TEE TYRON (6), YANKEE C J (8)
SUGGESTED BET: JUSTROLLINGAROUND (9) to win

RACE NINE

This shapes as a good race with some form presented from a number of different runners. ROCKIN IN PARADISE (6) threw his own chances away when inexperience and some green tendencies hampered him last time when only beaten a head. Despite the gate, he can bounce back.

YUKON BE SERIOUS (5) faces a step up against experienced competition after breaking maiden ranks last start in effortless fashion at Redcliffe. A tidy 3rd at her race debut when 3rd behind subsequent winner INTO THE MYSTIC, she looks to have a motor and can throw it down here.

MAGICOL IDEAL (3) was forced to work too hard last start when parked and applying the heat but could not sustain it. Strong to the line the start prior, he can get across here and make them chase.

EAGLESPRIDE (9) was making nice metres in the closing stages last time out when runner-up to OUR INDIFFERENCE. If the tempo is too hot, he is the one that can swoop late.

SELECTIONS: ROCKIN IN PARADISE (6), YUKON BE SERIOUS (5), MAGICOL IDEAL (3), EAGLESPRIDE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKIN IN PARADISE (6) to win

RACE TEN

With slippery moves when the green light illuminates, SHEZA CRACKER (2) can get across here, take control and in a race that may just lack pressure, finds her chance to see it out. Gripping on for 3rd last start when given the stink-eye in front, she can stave them off this time.

THE MAHARANI (1) started from this same gate last start and was soon shuffled to three back when trying to force clear late. Finishing under 3m from the winner MAYWYN TROUBADOR, she faced a similar position the start prior. Settling one spot closer this time, she can make a closing challenge.

GO COLOUR MY WORLD (9) should be able to slot into a handy running line position from this alley and appreciate a return to the draw after being on the ODM embargo. He is in the mix.

GRACENAVA (5) faces an awkward gate, but it is hard to ignore her form with four wins from her past eight appearances. With the right trip, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: SHEZA CRACKER (2), THE MAHARANI (1), GO COLOUR MY WORLD (9), GRACENAVA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZA CRACKER (2) to win
