RACE ONE

Faced with a second line gate at his past three in succession, GLOVER (4) should appreciate a return to the front line here. Sent around them to sit parked last start outside AARDIES FLASH, his 2nd here three back was full of merit in a sub 52 mile. He looks to get his chance here.

CHAMONIX (1) was luckless when searching for gaps here last week when 8m from the winner NICKS PICK and never finding open air. Midfield to JIMIARTEE the start prior, he lands all the options from this gate to follow the speed and issue a closing challenge.

ROCKTAGONAL (8) was eased from the wide gate last start and then always facing a task against the tempo. A tidy 3rd two starts back, he is going well enough if the gap arrives in time.

SELECTIONS: GLOVER (4), CHAMONIX (1), ROCKTAGONAL (8), WINDY HILL WALLY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: GLOVER (4) to win

RACE TWO

Resuming from a spell last time out when grabbing the bronze, OK BOOMER (5) can look to build off the effort. Starting from inside the second line in that outing when 8m astern of the winner BANGKOK DEEJAY, he can look to dart across and dictate.

HAY THERE JOE (2) started from inside the second line last time out and buried in the run was always up against it as FOR REAL LIFE carved it out in front. Hitting the line in smart fashion the start prior, he can settle clos enough to issue a challenge.

ALTA MAGACIAN (3) was forced to sit parked last start in a 70Heat and after the tough trip faded in the closing stages. A tough effort when 4th behind BANGKOK DEEJAY two back, he has claims.

KING OF TRUMPS (1) was second up from a spell last time out when finding the 1x1 trail from a second line gate. Descending on them to claim a narrow margin, the gate advantage here is a big plus.

SELECTIONS: OK BOOMER (5), HAY THERE JOE (2), ALTA MAGACIAN (3), KING OF TRUMPS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: OK BOOMER (5) to win

RACE THREE

An even field of mares to do battle where the benefit of gate 1 can help CLASSIC MIX UP (1). Sent north by Jarrod Alchin, the mare was a winner three starts back at Menangle when charging across from gate 6 and proving too slick with a 2m margin. The gate gives her the chance to capitalise.

MISS EXCLUSIVE (3) joins the Shawn Grimsey team off the back of successful Newcastle victories. Sent forward to take them all the way from gate 5 last start at the mile, she was able to see them off for a narrow victory. With early hustle, she can be issuing the challenge.

VINDICATE (8) has been consistent in recent weeks, hitting the board in all five starts this season. Piercing a gap to be runner-up last start, she will secure the perfect peg trip.

SAN MAREA (2) made the most of the inside gate last start to take control and was never headed in gripping on for a narrow victory at the 2138m trip. She can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: CLASSIC MIX UP (1), MISS EXCLUSIVE (3), VINDICATE (8), SAN MAREA (2)
SUGGESTED BET: CLASSIC MIX UP (1) to win

RACE FOUR

This is an even divided race to assess and several runners could arrive with no surprise. RED RIGHT HAND (5) was in the open at his last start when taking the trail from gate 1 and running a credible 5th when 7m from TURN IT UP. Back in this company, he can capitalise.

TARGARYEN (9) settled in the 1x1 trail last start and was trying to reel them in when finishing 6m astern of the winner DEUS EX. Chasing when 8m from TURN IT UP the start prior, he can get the right trail through in the early stages to throw down the challenge.

ROCK BOTTOM (2) released the front last week to DEUS EX and with the solid tempo was unable to go with them in the closing stages. He can show early hustle to turn things around.

PACIFICO DREAM (4) was buried in the run last start when chasing late to grab the bronze behind DEUS EX. Beaten by gate 7 the start prior, he can press forward to feature here.

SELECTIONS: RED RIGHT HAND (5), TARGARYEN (9), ROCK BOTTOM (2), PACIFICO DREAM (4)
SUGGESTED BET: RED RIGHT HAND (5) to win

RACE FIVE

Overcoming gate 7 here two starts back when finishing over the top of them, MISS MUCHO (4) was faced with the outside of the second line last start. Making a closing raid in the stretch, she was only a half-head from the winner BRONSKI DELIGHT. This looks well within reach.

SERGIOS ROCKET (1) should appreciate the inside gate after easing from gate 4 last start to chase home behind BRONSKI DELIGHT. Buried three back from the inside second line two starts back and grabbing 3rd, she snares all the options here to challenge.

PLAYA BLANCA (10) has been in nice touch in recent efforts, landing top-three at her past four in succession which includes a pair of victories. A game 3rd last start, she is right in the fight.

GIRL FROM ROSEDALE (6) was sent forward to sit parked last start and despite the tough trip was able to claim victory. The wide gate makes it a tough ask.

SELECTIONS: MISS MUCHO (4), SERGIOS ROCKET (1), PLAYA BLANCA (10), GIRL FROM ROSEDALE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS MUCHO (4) to win

RACE SIX

Needing some factors in his favour, if APOLLO DREAMZ (8) can get the right trip, he can look to frank his first two runs back from a spell. Holding on for 3rd despite striking a wheel issue when resuming, his sectionals were strong last start when chasing. If the gap arrives in time, he can strike.

MISTER REACTOR (7) overcame a wide gate here three starts back when rolling forward and working early before receiving cover, then finishing best for a 7m margin. Impressive when posting a 13m margin last week, the wide gate dents the chances of a repeat.

BETTING ORIGIN (2) worked to the front three starts back but was unable to put them away when grabbed late. Seeing it out from gate 5 two starts back, he has the gate to feature here.

BONNIES DANCE (5) claimed a mare’s qualifier here three starts back when working home strongly in the closing stages. Making a late raid last week when beaten a head, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: APOLLO DREAMZ (8), MISTER REACTOR (7), BETTING ORIGIN (2), BONNIES DANCE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: APOLLO DREAMZ (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

A decent barrier has been eluding ARGYLE (1) with his past three from the second line and four back he was faced with gate 6. Sitting back in the pack as FOR REAL LIFE carved it out last week, his run three back was full of merit when a half-neck away. The gate makes all the difference.

CLASS TO THE MAX (3) has worked his was back into form and three back was asked to work hard in the run from a second line gate when runner-up to subsequent winner MISTER REACTOR. Claiming a second division qualifier two starts back, he can throw it down.

SO SIRIUS (6) took the trail last start and then chased in vain behind FOR REAL LIFE. A tough 2nd three starts back when parked, he may need to roll the sleeves again here.

SHELL SHOCK (8) worked forward from gate 6 here last week to take control and try to see it out in front. Fading in the closing stages to be 4m away, he will be probing for openings here.

SELECTIONS: ARGYLE (1), CLASS TO THE MAX (3), SO SIRIUS (6), SHELL SHOCK (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ARGYLE (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

FIAS CHARM (1) was asked to sit parked last start and after the tough trip in slick time, only wilted in the closing stages. Strong to the line two starts back after retreating from gate 7 and finishing 3m from the winner, a return to mare’s only grade and the gate are big positives.

Stepping out in Qld for the first time for Shawn Grimsey, ANGELIC SHE AINT (6) arrives a last start Leeton winner when firing across from gate 4 to take them all the way. Not beaten far in her previous two starts, the wide gate makes it tough to see if the Riverina Form holds up.

FORGIVE ME (3) has been runner-up at her past two attempts, the latest when hitting the line in style behind INCOGNITO. 3m from subsequent winner SKYGIRL two runs back, she can feature.

MAYWYNS LA NINA (9) was eased away from the poles in the early stages last start after starting from inside the second line at Redcliffe. Sprinting hard when let go to claim victory, she can chime in here.

SUGGESTED BET: FIAS CHARM (1) to win

This looks a two-horse battle where TURN IT UP (6) holds all the aces with his brilliant speed off the gate. Faced with the outside second line last start, he was saved for the closing shot when charging hard to arrive in time. Strong to the line behind LEAP TO FAME the start prior, this looks his.

DEUS EX (4) was sent to the front here last week at the mile and once in control was able to pinch a second quarter breather before dialling it up and scoring an emphatic 1.51.9 mile victory with 6m to spare. Beaten a head by TURN IT UP after a tough two starts back, he will throw it down.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (1) was strong to the line here last week chasing FUTURE ASSURED to grab the bronze, despite going rough at the 350. With all the options, he can grab minor money.

SEND IT (3) made full use of the big class drop last start when putting a field of veterans to the sword and pulling clear to a 9m margin. Back into FFA company, he is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: TURN IT UP (6), DEUS EX (4), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (1), SEND IT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: TURN IT UP (6) to win

RACE TEN

The first of two McNeil Heats on the card as the lighter assessed trotters contest two rounds of heats before the Final.  TOP OF THE MOMENT (8) resumes from a let up after his last appearance just before Christmas saw him strike trouble and finish at the rear after being sent to the post as fav. With two preparatory trials, the latest a tidy effort when not bustled, he can look press forward to capitalise fresh.

ITSALLANDOVER (9) is chasing a hat-trick after successive wins at the 2138 and then last start at the long trip. Moving up to sit parked over the last lap last start, the start prior saw him finish over the top of the opposition for a smart win. The threepeat is within reach.

HIDE AND SEEK (1) comes into this series fresh after his last appearance as a 3YO when overcoming the second line under mobile conditions. The start will be all important.

MY ULTIMATE EDDIE (11) resumes from the ID where he missed the Final off the back of a big campaign to work into the top 24. With a smart trial on Tuesday, he can be chiming in.

RACE ELEVEN

The second of the McNeil heats where GUS (11) will need to overcome the 30m back mark throughout the Series. Last seen in the Inter Dominion Final, he has beaten the pacers in a recent trial where the last 800 was in 56.9 and he was 25m off the leader at the 800. He just needs to trot.

KODA DA MODA (3) started her Qld career with a 2m 2nd when working out of the 1x1 trail to chase home TUMULT. Pouncing on the lead second up and pulling clear to an 11m margin, she was too slick over the closing stages last start. This is another step, but she can take the rise.

DEFENSIVE GUY (10) could not have been any more impressive when resuming from a spell and finishing strongly in smart closing panels. Kept fresh, he is right in the fight.

TUMULT (1) was a first up winner in Qld when proving too tough from the 10m tape in taking a 2m margin. With the front tape benefits, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: GUS (11), KODA DA MODA (3), DEFENSIVE GUY (10), TUMULT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GUS (11) to win
