Gold Coast Turf Club meeting transferred to Polytrack

Racing Queensland advises the race meeting scheduled for Saturday, February 24 on the course proper at the Gold Coast Turf Club, has now been transferred to the Polytrack.

Following last month’s Magic Millions Raceday, scheduled sand grooving has taken place on the course proper as part of the approved return to racing programme at Aquis Park. 

The change has necessitated amendments to some races and distances on the program. They are:

  • Class 5 Handicap (1400m) has been deleted;   
  • Benchmark 68 Handicap - was 1400m - is now 1540m;
  • Benchmark 65 Handicap (1400m) has been deleted;
  • CGE & FM Benchmark Handicap (1100m) have been combined;
  • Ratings Band 0-58 Handicap 2200, is now a Benchmark 58 Handicap 2000m;
  • Maiden Plate - was 2200m - is now 2000m; and
  • 3YO Maiden Handicap - was 1000m - is now 1050m.

 

Three additional races have been added to the program

  • Benchmark 55 Handicap (1540m);
  • Maiden Plate (1540m); and
  • Maiden Plate (1150m).
