RACE ONE

Safely away to find the front in the early stages here last week, LIEUTUENANT LOU (7) made an error at the 1200 but was able to reset and drop back in behind the leader. With too much closing power to score, he will benefit from the run and look to go back-to-back.

NEED NOT TO WARRY (1) was buried away in the run here last week and when finding open road, was closing it out in nice style to grab the bronze. With the experience from the first up effort, he snares the right alley to issue a challenge.

OUR SWEET JESS (2) is a Sweet Lou filly on debut for Dayl March that has put together some tidy trials in readiness for her first race outing. The good alley will help her chances.

WHYKIKAMOOCOW (4) should appreciate taking on his own age for the first time after two Redcliffe starts against older horses.

SELECTIONS: LIEUTUENANT LOU (7), NEED NOT TO WARRY (1), OUR SWEET JESS (2), WHYKIKAMOOCOW (4)
SUGGESTED BET: LIEUTUENANT LOU (7) to win

RACE TWO

He can do plenty wrong but the return to mobile conditions will be a huge help for HIDE AND SEEK (5) in this small field. A winner when stepping cleanly in a McNeil heat, he made a mess of it in the final with an early error. Back behind the start car, he can show his zip.

ITSALLANDOVER (1) was not that far from the minors in the McNeil Final last start when face with the 20m tape. A winner in the first round of heats to complete a hat-trick of wins, most if his wins have been behind the tapes, but the gate gives him the options to issue the challenge here.

NORTIE NORTIE (3) started from the 30m tape here two starts back and was making some late ground for the silver behind ITSALLANDOVER at the 13 furlongs. At the middle trip and back to the mobile, he is right in this.

SELECTIONS: HIDE AND SEEK (5), ITSALLANDOVER (1), NORTIE NORTIE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: HIDE AND SEEK (5) to win

RACE THREE

After two runs as a 2YO BIG ROCK SINGER (5) resumes to start his 3YO term off the back of a pair of trials to prepare. Showing good improvement from the first trial into the second, he was runner-up on debut here behind the handy FIREBOLT. He finds the right race fresh up.

GRUBSCREW (6) joins the Mark Rees barn for his Aus debut after four starts in the deep south of NZ. Given a Redcliffe trial that was far from flattering behind three-time winner THE NARCISSIST, he can look for a sharper performance to issue a challenge.

CULLECTINGCARDLES (2) returns from a spell after four starts to begin her career where she was unplaced in each. Striking some handy ones at her past two, she can be an improver.

IDEAL PERFECTION (8) broke maiden ranks last start at Redcliffe and will be looking to get through the loophole with a second maiden win here. Needing some luck, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: BIG ROCK SINGER (5), GRUBSCREW (6), CULLECTINGCARDLES (2), IDEAL PERFECTION (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BIG ROCK SINGER (5) to win

RACE FOUR

With just one run since crossing the Tasman in mid-February, DHONI TROUBLE (14) was snookered on the poles in a small field at Cobram when making a late raid to be just a head from the winner. He will need to overcome the 30m and capacity field but looks up to the task.

FENOMENAL (13) will take good benefit from his last start when second up from a spell and faced with the 50m tape. With a mid-race move to get into the contest, he was only 7m away and with the right trip to get into this contest, can look to throw down the challenge.

JAY ROWE (1) is the lone runner off the front tape but with her good manners can look to step cleanly. A winner three starts back in tough fashion, she will be in for the fight here.

TUMULT (7) was asked to sit parked last start in the McNeil Final with the tough trip taking a toll over the latter stages. Settling handy in the early stages will give her the chance to feature here.

SELECTIONS: DHONI TROUBLE (14), FENOMENAL (13), JAY ROWE (1), TUMULT (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

After four runs back from a spell where he has drawn tough alleys in each, DELE ROW (10) will need to overcome another tough gate here. Attacking the line strongly last start when 3rd behind the dead-heating pair, a return to midweek company in this line up can see him capitalise.

LULU MAE (3) showed early hustle from gate 6 last start and was able to secure the pocket trip and held on for the bronze behind subsequent winner MADAME WEST. Tightened from that run where she was resuming from a let up, the middle trip might be a query, but it will be for a few in this line up.

RISK TAKER (5) overcame a checkered trip and the second line gate last time out when arriving in the closing stages over this trip. Positioning cheaply will be key from this alley.

EPIC ORION (6) arrives in Qld for the now regular visiting Colin Godden team. Placed at each of his past three starts, the latest a tough effort at Wagga, he can look to grind it out once again.

SELECTIONS: DELE ROW (10), LULU MAE (3), RISK TAKER (5), EPIC ORION (6)
SUGGESTED BET: DELE ROW (10) to win

RACE SIX

After winning impressively on debut as a 2YO with an all the way victory, ZENA RHAYNE BOW (5) was shipped to Victoria for a feature race tilt that saw her progress to the Breeders Crown Final. Returning home and given a break, she resumes here against some experienced campaigners. Her class can shine.

BEACH ON FIRE (3) was a winner at the middle trip here five runs back when settling in the running line and finishing over the top of them. Runner-up from the second line last time out, he can settle handy to the action and look to throw down the challenge.

TAKE A CHANCE (9) was sent to the front here three starts back and trying to repel the challengers was collared in the last strides. Striking trouble in both runs since, he can feature.

SHEZ ALL STYLE (10) was a winner here three starts back when doing it tough sitting parked from the second line. Grafting out a 3rd last start behind SHEER ARTISTRY, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: ZENA RHAYNE BOW (5), BEACH ON FIRE (3), TAKE A CHANCE (9), SHEZ ALL STYLE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: ZENA RHAYNE BOW (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

A winner at three of his four starts here at HQ, KICKATINALONGPONY (6) has been in super form since arriving in the Sunshine State. Pressing on with it to take control last start at the 2138, he finished it off in a strong closing half. Despite the gate he can claim a threepeat.

AMAMI (10) found the right conditions here two starts back and settling in the 1x1 trail had enough closing speed to make the closing shot a winning one with a 6m margin. Attacking the line from deep field last start when 2m from the winner, he can issue a closing challenge.

LUVBITE (9) always makes an honest return and has placed at his past three in succession. Releasing last start when runner-up to KICKATINALONGPONY, he can be chiming in here.

TIMZEE (8) was stuck for position last start and forced to retreat. He will get the economical trip straight up here and will be searching for the gaps, with a return to the mile a big plus.

SELECTIONS: KICKATINALONGPONY (6), AMAMI (10), LUVBITE (9), TIMZEE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: KICKATINALONGPONY (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

Finding the 1x1 trail last start, CAPTAINS PICK (9) powered home over the top to claim a 3m margin. A beaten fav the start prior when needing space sooner than it arrived at Redcliffe, the map sets up favourably for him to descend on them once again.

SHEZA CRACKER (1) showed the benefit of being the hunter rather than being hunted here three starts back. Darting through along the passing lane to score. Runner-up here last start from the trail, she can be tucked in behind awaiting the lane to issue the challenge.

LITTLELIONELJAMES (8) was a Redcliffe winner two starts back when forcing the issue and seeing them off. Beaten by a wide gate here on Sat night, he will be probing for the openings.

HES SWEET (3) will take some benefit from his last start Marburg 2nd where he was forced to work in the run when resuming from a spell. He can settle handy enough to chime in.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAINS PICK (9), SHEZA CRACKER (1), LITTLELIONELJAMES (8), HES SWEET (3)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAINS PICK (9) to win

RACE NINE

After two runs back from a spell where he has grabbed the bronze in each, ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (10) might just have found the right conditions here to capitalise. Under 2m from the winner in each return run, he can get the right trail here to charge over the top.

FIRESTORM RED (7) has had four starts since arriving in Qld and produced strong performances in each without any rewards. Runner-up to SEND IT two starts back, he was 3m away from this same gate last start and this profiles for him to throw down the challenge.

SUBTLE DELIGHT (1) was hitting the line in smart order on The Triangle last start to grab the bronze. This is tougher but he is better suited on this deck and has the improved gate.

STORMTIDE (4) is back in the main draw after one run and one trial to remove the ODM embargo. Sitting parked in a tough effort last start, he can press forward to feature.

SELECTIONS: ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (10), FIRESTORM RED (7), SUBTLE DELIGHT (1), STORMTIDE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (10) to win
