The new year starts with a bang as The Golden Greys Summer Carnival continues at Albion Park on Thursday, January 5 with a blockbuster card containing a trio of Group 2 features, including:
- The Group 2 Queensland Derby;
- The Group 2 Bogie Leigh Futurity; and
- The Group 2 Golden Sands.
