THE QUEENSLAND RACING CARNIVAL IS WHERE CHAMPIONS EMERGE.

Last year, it was Apache Chase and Alligator Blood that shone brightest, and this year the tradition continues.

Staged over 10 action-packed weeks, more than $25 million in prize money will go on the line, including eight Group 1s – seven of which surpassing $1 million.

The Queensland Racing Carnival culminates at the Sunshine Coast with one of the flagship days on the calendar.

The $300,000 Caloundra Cup continues to go from strength-to-strength, last year won by the powerhouse Ciaron Maher & David Eustace stable with Le Don De Vie.

A quality field is set to gather on the picturesque coast in front of what’s sure to be a patriotic crowd cheering on their local hopes.

The final Group race of the Queensland season will also be run and won at Corbould Park, as the Winx Guineas honours the champion mare who started her remarkable 33-race win streak at the track in 2015.
