Phantom Sox  When questioned regarding the poor performance of the gelding, Jockey said that his mount travelled comfortably in the lead, however when placed under pressure shortly after straightening weakened and thereafter was disappointing. Jockey said that in his opinion the gelding performs better over shorter distances than today's event.

King Magnusson  Bumped at the start. Stewards interviewed trainer relative to the gelding attempting to savage another runner on 3 occasions, at the 1000 metres, 800 metres and 600 metres. Trainer indicated that he would experiment with the gear on the gelding. After hearing the submissions tendered by trainer Stewards ruled that after spelling the gelding would be required to barrier trial satisfactorily on two consecutive occasions.   Townsville  21/11/2015
