Gillie stated that she was unable to lead as per her instructions, however she obtained cover behind the leaders and that her mount travelled well in the early stages. She added that her mount hit a flat spot from the 800m until approaching the 350m where the gelding did not travel well despite her urgings. She further added that her mount felt unbalanced approaching the home turn but then began to respond to her riding upon straightening and finished the race off well.

Tnr advised horse would require a vet cert, inclusive of the results of an endoscopic exam, and would also have to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a Jumpout, prior to next racing.

Near the 1400m became awkward to the inside of DICKENSIAN and had to be restrained when that runner shifted in when insufficiently clear. Jockey C. Taylor reported that the buckle on the breast plate of DEVINE FALLS broke during the race however did not place him at any material disadvantage.
