Raced very wide, without cover, throughout the early and middle stages. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it was lame in the off hind leg (4/5). Further investigation revealed the gelding had two shoeing nails penetrating the sole of that foot. An investigation as to the circumstances surrounding this found the gelding most likely stood on the nails whilst being fractious when having its near hind shoe re fitted prior to the event. Vet cert required PTNS.

She added the mare raced keenly in the middle stages and near the 500m when being restrained, shifted out and clipped heels and blundered, and a short distance later dipped when being restrained. She added that she was unable to ride her mount out for the entire home straight when it hung in, due her saddle having shifted forward.
