Rider reported that as his mount knuckled on jumping the gelding was therefore further back than anticipated. He added that his mount travelled well throughout the event. He further added that his mount did not handle the dirt track. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be 2/5 lame in the off hindleg. Trainer advised the gelding would now be transferred out of his stable. Nevertheless, trainer was advised a veterinary clearance would be needed prior to the gelding racing or barrier trailing again.
