He added that from the 600 metres his mount was inclined to lay in, and near the 200 metres continued to do so, shifted in despite his efforts and became awkwardly placed on the heels of another runner. |

Jockey added that in his opinion the gelding performs better over longer distances than today's event. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. |
