When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, rider stated that his mount did not travel at any stage of the race and had also hung in. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormality. Trainer advised that the gelding pulled up well the following day with no issues to report. Trn was told that a warning would be recorded bearing in mind the gelding’s uncompetitive performance having been beaten 15L.
