Stanley stated that the gelding began well and travelled comfortably until approaching the home straight but then proved disappointing when placed under pressure and in his opinion was disappointing. He added that he recommended to connections the addition of blinkers and a step up over further distances. Trainer H. Hayes advised that he will give consideration to the addition of blinkers and he will step the horse up in distance. Kropp stated that whilst the horse has only had three starts for his stable, he had elected to make significant gear changes of removing the blinkers and tongue tie off the gelding for this start, and he attributed the improved performance to these changes.
