Walshe explained that in his opinion the mare may not have appreciated the 59kg impost, on a heavy track, today as opposed to its last start win when it carried the minimum weight. Further, Mr T Walshe undertook to report to the stewards in the days subsequent should anything amiss become apparent with the mare. A post race veterinary examination of the mare revealed it to have a poor recovery rate. |
