Ebony Rein  When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the
mare, trainer Mr T. Walshe explained that in his opinion the mare may not have appreciated the 59kg impost, on a heavy track, today as opposed to its last start
win when it carried the minimum weight. Further, Mr T Walshe undertook to
report to the stewards in the days subsequent should anything amiss become
apparent with the mare. A post race veterinary examination of the mare revealed
it to have a poor recovery rate.

Our Lady Mac  Passing the 600m commenced to hang out and had to be steadied from heels of another runner. Questioned re: performance - rider stated mare sweated up behind barriers during delay to start of race. Mare then resented racing inside other runners and after suffering interference leaving the 600m failed to respond to his riding and proved dissapointing. Opinionated  Inconvenienced by another runner near the 200m. Jockey R. McMahon reported the horse felt short in its action on pulling up. A post race veterinary examination confirmed the filly was short in its action but not lame.

Redwolf  Apprentice J. Graham stated that he had been advised to lead the event and if challenged by another runner, not hand it up easily. He stated that his mount began well and led the event before Law of the Jungle improved to his outside approaching the 1000m. Jumbo Prince  Jockey explained that from the draw he was instructed to ride the horse in a handy position with cover if possible. Jockey stated that straight after the jump he considered his options however, was aware of a number of runners to his inside all seemed intent on going forward and for this reason he made the decision to ride the horse where it was comfortable, which resulted in the colt settling further back in the race than was anticipated.  Doomben  6/06/2015
