Passion in Flight  Stewards questioned jockey T. Harrison and trainer Mr G. Hineman regarding the tactics adopted on the horse in that the horse raced on the speed in today's race which was in contrast to the horse's established racing pattern. Miss Harrison indicated it had not been her intention to lead, however after beginning well she allowed the horse to stride forward and cross horses to the inside. Trainer Mr G Hineman indicated he had instructed Miss Harrison to ride the horse where comfortable as she knows the horse's racing pattern and was surprised the horse was in a forward position.  Sunshine Coast  8/05/2016

Our Ivanhowe (GER)  Trainer reported Thursday prior to meeting that horse had some tenderness to off fore foot. Inspected by vet and cleared to start. Post race vet revealed horse to be lame in off foreleg and displaying a poor post race recovery. Trainer advised horse would be spelled. Trainer subsequently reported that a further veterinary examination did not reveal any serious issues to the off fore leg other than tenderness to that hoof. A copy of the veterinary report was provided to stewards. Horse has since won a 1550m trial on a heavy track.  Rosehill Gardens  26/03/2016

Lockwood advised that the gelding was not suited to the distance at its previous start and was unable to maintain pace with the remainder of the field, however he was satisfied with the way in which the horse finished the race off. Tivaci  Performed below market expectations. Rider of the view that the colt was not suited with the addition of ear muffs today and at no stage in the race did his mount respond to his riding.
