When asked to explain the performance, jockey D. Browne stated that the horse travelled well in the early and middle stages but did not respond to his riding as he expected soon after straightening. He recommended to connections that a tongue-tie be applied for future starts as he was of the view that the horse may have got its tongue back during the event. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have a slow post-race recovery. A swab sample was taken.

When questioned as to the performance, Jockey M McGuren stated that based on the filly's previous form he anticipated today's distance of 900m being too short. However, after beginning well the filly was able to obtain a position on the speed but was disappointing in its failure to finish the race off over the final 400m. Jockey McGuren was of the opinion that the filly would derive a fitness benefit from today's race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have a slow recovery rate. |
