Question re performance, rider explained his mount raced comfortably throughout the event, however passing the 800m when asked to improve his mount was forced to raced wide. Also stated in his opinion the gelding failed to appreciate the slow tempo of the event. Trainer concurred with the comments made by rider. A post race vet exam revealed no abnormalities.

Trainer L. Ross was questioned regarding the gelding's improved performance. Mr Ross stated that the gelding appears to race better at Eagle Farm and has won three races at the track. He added that the horse also appreciates the distance of today's event of 1400m, and noted that today he removed the blinkers, which may have assisted the horse's chances.

She indicated that she had some concerns with the horse’s action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the near hind leg. Trainer L. Ross was advised that he will be required to produce a veterinary clearance for the horse prior to its next start.
