Captain Eyche Held up rounding the home turn until the 200m. Ipswich 02/12/2016
Our Racketeer D. Browne could offer no explanation for the horse weakening badly in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer S. Kendrick was advised that the horse must compete satisfactorily in an official barrier trial prior to racing again.Trainer S. Kendrick reported that Our Racketeer had been x-rayed and found to have bone chips in the off-side knee. The horse will have corrective surgery performed prior to being sent for a spell. Stewards advised Mr Kendrick that a veterinary certificate will be required prior to its next race start. Doomben 15/06/2016
Skanda Rider questioned tactics stated instructions similar last start try obtain cover. Early stages anticipated GO BETTER would obtain position on fence leaving him in position outside that runner trailing IT’S VEGAS BABY. However, MISS SUGAR PUSS improved to inside GO BETTER placing him in 3 wide position and restrained to obtain cover behind GO BETTER,resulting in racing further back than anticipated. Cheers Rossco Connections advised that it was the intention to take up a forward position if circumstances permitted. The horse subsequently settled in a midfield to back position. Sunshine Coast 04/12/2016
Dubleo's Lad Unable to improve when held up on the heels of the tiring SHADOW EMPIRE from the 600m to the 400m. Laid in under pressure over the final 200m. Gold Coast 03/12/2016
Emperor's Beach Had a tendency to lay in under pressure over the concluding stages. Sunshine Coast 04/12/2016

Surfers Dolphins Slow to begin. Questioned re tactics after improving around field leaving 1300m - rounding turn near 1400m SIR ROTHEWAY did not appear to be travelling well so elected to shift wider to improve position. Intention was to then shift back in to obtain trailing position behind MR MALU down back straight however, SIR EARLSTOUN improved to his inside which left him 3 wide near 900m. So allowed mare to stride forward to settle outside MR MALU near 700m. Stewards advised erred in failing to obtain position behind SIR EARLSTOUN after improving around SIR ROTHEWAY. Zarabeel Trainer M Leitch advised that it was her intention for ZARABEEL to be ridden with cover if possible today. Ridden in a midfield position with cover. Gold Coast 10/12/2016

Powerful Flash Laid in under pressure in the home straight and was held up for clear running until leaving the 100m. Ipswich 25/11/2016
Son of Justice Raced wide and bumped rounding the home turn. Sunshine Coast 25/11/2016
Tutokanula Raced four wide without cover. Lost the off hind plate in running. Sunshine Coast 13/11/2016
Fast Sun Began awkwardly. Bumped near the 900m and became unbalanced. Ipswich 02/12/2016

Tempete Rouge Overraced in the early and middle stages and near the 700m hung out and was steadied from heels, and then proved very difficult to ride for the remainder of the event. A warning was placed on the horse regarding its racing manners. Sunshine Coast 16/11/2016

Sugar Ray Red Near the 400m shifted out and bumped MIGHTY IRISH. Gold Coast 19/11/2016
Beacon Street Checked near 200m. T. Harrison, rider of FAST VISION, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that near the 200m she allowed her mount to shift out, whilst riding along, when not sufficiently clear of BEACON STREET, resulting in that horse having to be checked to avoid the heels of FAST VISION. Ahmah Star When questioned regarding the performance of the AHMAH STAR, Apprentice C. Bayliss stated that his mount pulled hard for the majority of the race and was unable to be restrained. He said that when placed under pressure near the 500 metres the horse failed to respond. Rockhampton 15/11/2016
 
Race 7
Reckless Abandon Jockey B. Stewart, rider of the 6th placegetter was reprimanded for failing to ride his mount out right to the finish of the race. Eagle Farm 03/12/2016
Flying Charger Raced wide in the early and middle stages. An inquiry into the tactics adopted in the early stages, in particular the gelding being eased from a forward position to a position just worse than midfield, was opened and adjourned to a date to be fixed. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to be mildly lame in the off fore leg. Lismore 27/11/2016

Don't Doubt Marley Hampered by KAPGUN on jumping away and had to be steadied and lost ground. Jockey M. Cahill was asked to comment on the performance. He indicated that, in his opinion the overall performance was disappointing and that he had expected to settle at the tail of the field as the mare has a history of being slow to begin. He indicated this was the case after suffering interference on jumping. He added that he had considered improving to a position midfield in an attempt to trail ZIP TO THE MOON, however as he had been instructed by trainer Mr D. Vandyke to ensure that the horse had clear running Sunshine Coast 20/11/2016
Final Over Began awkwardly. Raced 3 wide without cover. Apprentice S. Lacy was questioned regarding her riding of the mare after passing the 800m, whereby she was forced 3 wide by another runner. Miss Lacy agreed with stewards she had erred on this occasion and should have ridden more forward to race immediately behind SWEET REPEAT, which would have prevented LADY MERCURY shifting out Doomben 23/11/2016
She's Worthy Began very awkwardly and lost considerable ground. Trainer S. Kendrick was advised that he will be required to obtain a further barrier certificate prior to the mare racing again. Sunshine Coast 27/11/2016
Peppa Jelly Rider expressed her disappointment in mare’s performance but could offer no tangible explanation. Trainer subsequently reported mare was lame in off foreleg upon return to stables. Vet clearance required. Gold Coast 27/08/2016
