Rdr reported it was not intended to lead, however after riding positively from the barriers to make use of the inside gate his mnt was left racing in the lead when no other rider showed intent to press forward. He said his mnt appeared to travel comfortably, however was disappointing in the manner in which it gave ground over the final 200m. A post-race vet exam revealed the entire to be lame (1/5) in both hind legs. Tnr was advised a vet clearance will be required before being permitted to race/barrier trial again. Vet clearance since received.
