When questioned in relation to the gelding settling on-pace, in comparison to that of its previous start, rider advised that he was instructed to ride the gelding in a positive manner in an attempt to obtain a forward position. He further added this was consistent with the stable’s instructions for the gelding in its previous start, however it had been unable to obtain a more prominent position on that occasion.

Tactics queried RR instructed to take up a forward position, however the stable’s preference was not to lead. Rode her mount along from the barriers and after taking up a position outside the early leader approaching the winning post on the first occasion she attempted to remain outside that runner, however when her mount raced keenly she allowed it to continue forward to take up the lead near the 1600m. although her mount established a margin on the remainder of the field in the middle stages, she felt that the tempo set by her mount was only moderate.
