Began awkwardly and bumped. Raced keenly near the 1000m and shifted in marginally. Raced wide from the 900m. Laid in near the 400m before shifting out under pressure on entering the home straight and bumped. Laid out under pressure down the running, shifting out and bumping near the 50m.

After being slow to begin, was able gain a handy position from the 600m and ran on strongly and wide over the final stages of the event.
