When asked to comment on the tactics adopted on the mare, rider advised that he was instructed that the mare is better suited when able to be race unimpeded, and not be restrained, and given the ground lost in the early stages, he elected to allow his mount to stride forward and obtain the lead in the middle stages.

When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance, trainer stated that he was not disappointed with the recent run at Eidsvold on 5 October 2024, when the gelding finished the race off well. He added that he had only been training I’M FAMOUS for a short time and that a change in farrier work and a recent change of environment from stabling to paddock agistment had seen an improvement in the gelding’s work, adding that today’s shorter distance and being able to lead had contributed to the performance.
