Added after being caught racing outside of REDEX attempted to steady near 800m however, given previous history of hanging in reluctant to overly restrain. After taking into account fast early sectionals stewards were of the view jockey Plumb had erred in not restraining to take a trailing position behind REDEX. Taking into account the racing manners of the gelding stewards took no further aciton.

Lloyd stated that his mount began awkwardly and shifted in abruptly and seemed to have trouble mustering speed on the heavy track. He added the gelding then travelled in the middle stages however got slightly crowded from DON’T LEAVE ME from the 600m, resulting in the horse laying in away and brushing the rail. Trainer T. Edmonds representative was advised that the gelding would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start.
