When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, rider stated that his mount pulled hard in the early stages. Rider added that his mount then travelled well in the middle stages but when placing his mount under pressure upon straightening the gelding was one paced and only went to the line moderately. Rider added that in his opinion the gelding would be suited stepping up in distance where he can obtain a comfortable lead and work into a sprint. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

Commenced to overrace due to the moderate tempo leaving the 1000m, shifted wider on the course and was allowed to stride forward and race on the speed and was then obliged to race three wide for the remainder of the event. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted, S. Bogenhuber stated that the gelding refused to settle in the early stages and proved difficult to ride, hence rather than fight the gelding she elected to improve wider on the course.
