Rider reported that his mount travelled only fairly throughout the early and middle stages, but when passing the 600m mount came under heavy pressure, failed to respond to his riding and weakened from the race. A post-race vet exam of the gelding, which was beaten 26 lengths, did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer advised the gelding would now leave his stable. Mr Croft was nonetheless advised a warning would be placed on the record of the gelding with respect its poor performance
