Hamblin stated that PLAYFUL KISS failed to handle the sand track conditions and could offer no further explanation regarding the performance. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer K. Miller advised stewards that believed that PLAYFUL KISS had come to the end of its prep and would now be sent for a spell.
