When qst re her tactics adopted throughout the early stages and in particular to the fast tempo set, rdr std after beginning well she allowed mnt to stride forward and that passing the 1200m she anticipated settling to the outside of Final Farewell. She added that as her mnt was travelling comfortably, she elected to obtain the outright lead near the 1000m and once obtaining this position her mnt was able to set a more suitable tempo. Stewards accepted rdr’s explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

He added that at the time he did not feel as if the tempo of the race was too fast and that his mount was comfortable in the position that it was travelling. After viewing the patrol films, he agreed that the tempo of the race was perhaps too fast, however his mount was travelling in a comfortable position and that passing the 550m he did bring the gelding back. Stewards accepted his explanation.
