Felton Road J. Orman could offer no tangible explanation for the horse's disappointing performance other than that the gelding may not have been suited by racing in a more forward position in today's event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow post-race recovery and a very high heart rate. Stewards will follow up with trainer R. Lipp in the days following the event regarding the horse's post-race recovery. Ipswich 14/10/2016

Latin American Bled both nostrils during the event for the first time. Trainer B Hull was advised that the gelding would be barred from racing for 3 months and requires 1000m gallop prior to racing again Gympie 24/10/2015
Invitto Raced 4 wide without cover throughout. Over the concluding stages steadied from the heels of CABANA BOY. Gold Coast 03/09/2016

Jomar's Element Began awkwardly. On return to scale L. Cassidy advised that his mount hung out rounding the home turn. Ipswich 14/10/2016
Over the Venture Bumped near the 700m. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, trainer B. Currie advised that the filly had come to the end of its preparation and would now be sent for a spell. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Daddy Longlegs Vetted - revealed a laceration to the near hind leg consistent with being galloped on. Ipswich 28/09/2016

Le Jeu Raced wide throughout. Returned to the enclosure in a distressed state. Apprentice T Brooker reported that the mare was fractiou pre race and proved difficult to load. The horse, in her opinion, did not show its customary early speed and did not travel comfortably at any stage during the event. After pulling up she was of the view that the horse may have had a breathing issue during the event as it became distressed post race. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Sunshine Coast 16/10/2016
Deep Harbour Questioned re tactics - jockey stated intention to go forward due to minimal speed in race. Rode aggresively early but horse then race ungenerously in early stages and was placed 4 wide early. With no speed in race chose to ride forward to settle outside leader. Failed to respond rounding home turn and proved dissapointing. Trainer expressed dissapointment in performance and will advise stewards of vet exam to be performed after event. Gold Coast 08/10/2016
