Plumb stated he was advised by the trainer that the horse had a history of being fractious in the gates and his instructions were to position the horse where it felt comfortable in the early stages. He added that after being crossed shortly after the start the filly raced a little greenly back in the field however finished the race off reasonably well and, in his opinion, would benefit from today’s experience and may be better suited over longer distances than that of today’s event.

Underwent a veterinary examination at the barriers and was passed fit to start. Severely checked and lost its position near the 350m when PENNY A PITCH shifted in when not sufficiently clear. Apprentice M. Schrapel, the rider of PENNY A PITCH, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR. 137(a) in that he permitted his mount to shift in whilst losing ground at that point, causing the interference to RED REASON. Apprentice Schrapel's licence to ride in races was suspended for 11 days, to commence at midnight on 26 November and expire at midnight on Wednesday 7 December 2016.
