Badger advised that her instructions were to settle back in the field from the wide gate and at a point passing the 600m commence to improve into the race. She added that the gelding travelled on and off the bridle for the majority of the event and changed stride on several occasions, and when placed under pressure passing the 600m failed to respond to her riding.
