Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a mildly slow recovery. Trainer advised that the gelding would now likely be leaving his stable, nonetheless Stewards advised that a warning would be placed on the geldings performance.

Stewards reminded Ms Pointon of her obligation to keep her mount straight and ensure she has sufficient room when shifting ground, given her limited riding experience stewards took no further action in relation to the incident.

When quest, Rdr explained gelding was racing with blinkers off, with the hope it would settle better than when it raced at Kilcoy on 2/1/25-added shortly after leaving the gates when racing tight, elected to steady and consequently settle further back than wished- further added in hindsight, it may have been preferable at that point in that race, to hold that position, which would have allowed mount to then improve to race closer to the speed.

Rdr reported passing the 800m when obliged to straighten gelding, the bit had become displaced, placing at a disadvantage and then elected to restrain mount out of the race. Tnr reported gelding pulled up well on return to stables & would continue preparation-added would make necessary gear adjustments to prevent a similar occurrence.

Appr Jky M Goring when questioned by Stewards Mr Goring advised he would redirect his mount to the outside of AURELIAN BLANK and obtain rails run, “being the shortest way home and ride for luck”. Stewards noted his explanation.
