Stewards queried the tactics adopted on the mare. When questioned regarding her riding, particularly the decision to remain wide when there appeared an opportunity to obtain a position with cover approaching the 1200m, Apprentice Krahnen stated that her mount was racing strongly underneath her, and she had been instructed to obtain a forward position. She further stated she was unable to restrain her mount to obtain cover when it commenced to hang-out. She agreed in hindsight, this would have been the more favourable option. Stewards noted the explanation.
