Slow to begin. Steadied from the heels of CREDENZA near the 100m. Laid out from the 600m and as a result was unable to be fully tested by its rider in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer B Johnson advised FROZE had won the majority of its races over a longer distance than that of today, and it would be his intention to now step the horse up in distance. Stewards noted the explanation.
