Was fractious in the float, in transit to the race meeting, dislodging a hind plate, was inspected by the veterinarian upon arrival on course was passed fit to start. Stewards acting under the provisions of AR.141A.(1) permitted the removal of the other hind plate and the mare raced barefooted behind.

When questioned regarding her riding in the home straight Jockey advised Stewards the gelding was inclined to hang out under pressure and additionally the bit had twisted in the gelding’s mouth giving her limited control over the horse therefore she desisted from riding her mount out with her usual vigour. Stewards noted her explanation.

Crowded for room at the start clipping heels and blundering. At the 850 metres when over-racing improved into restricted room. When runners to both the inside and outside shifted marginally had to be steadied and clipped heels and blundered.
