Dotherighthing (NZ)  | Raced wide throughout. When questioned regarding its performance, the rider stated that gelding was disappointing. He was mindful that it usually showed pace, however as this was the first time with blinkers, it had failed to race well and suggested to remove the blinkers and step up in distance. Trainer J. McConachy confirmed that the blinkers will be removed for its next race start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that gelding was displaying a slightly slower recovery rate.
