Above Us  | When questioned regarding the performance of ABOVE US, trainer M. Lehmann said that he was disappointed with the horse's performance, as it failed to run on as expected. Mr Lehmann added that he intends to start ABOVE US at the Emerald meeting next week. Jockey J. P. Stanley confirmed that the performance was disappointing, however he attributed this to the slow pace in the event. Primed for Destiny  | Stewards inquired into the horse's performance. Of particular concern was whether jockey Dale Evans could have improved into a run in the straight earlier than he did. Refer full report. Stewards followed up with trainer J. O'Shea regarding the performance of PRIMED FOR DESTINY. Mr O'Shea stated that he was not overly disappointed with the performance as the horse had been beaten by only a small margin, although it failed to run on as expected.
