Motorised  Jockey reported that the gelding failed to stretch out throughout and felt sore. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that gelding was lame in the near foreleg. Trainer F. Nevzlin  Off hind stifle made contact with the place getters stall when leaving the enclosure. Examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field. Near the 200m, another runner shifted out, another rolled in, tightened for room, make contact with the hindquarters of BUTCHER BOY, which shifted shift out further, and NEVZLIN to be checked.  Emerald  10/10/2015

Above Us  When questioned regarding the performance of ABOVE US, trainer M. Lehmann said that he was disappointed with the horse's performance, as it failed to run on as expected. Mr Lehmann added that he intends to start ABOVE US at the Emerald meeting next week. Jockey J. P. Stanley confirmed that the performance was disappointing, however he attributed this to the slow pace in the event. He added that ABOVE US was inclined to lay out over the concluding stages and said that over a shorter distance with more pace early he would expect an improved performance.  Rockhampton  25/09/2015

Primed for Destiny  Stewards inquired into the horse's performance. Of particular concern was whether jockey Dale Evans could have improved into a run in the straight earlier than he did. Refer full report. Stewards followed up with trainer J. O'Shea regarding the performance of PRIMED FOR DESTINY. Mr O'Shea stated that he was not overly disappointed with the performance as the horse had been beaten by only a small margin, although it failed to run on as expected. He informed stewards that he will give the horse a short freshen up and make adjustments to its feeding regime.  Rockhampton  25/09/2015
