Due to his concerns with the horse's action he did not pressure the mare over the final 500m and as a result it finished a distant last. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Stewards advised connections that the horse would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to racing again. He added in his opinion DOUBLE DRAMA would derive significant benefit from today's run. A post-race Vet examination revealed superficial cuts to off fore-leg.   |

The Catholic Girl  | Bounded in the air on jumping and lost ground. When questioned regarding his riding rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight, and as to whether there was an opportunity to improve to the inside of the eventual winner, Jockey explained that after being held up rounding the home turn he rode his mount along and shifted wider in an attempt to obtain clear running. Jockey said that had the eventual winner not rolled out, he would have been held up for clear running even further.   |

Tremont (NZ)  | Jockey stated that the gelding was disappointing. He said that he obtained a favourable position and raced well throughout the early and middle stages, however in the latter stages of the home straight failed to finish the race off as expected. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer reported that the horse was found to have epiglottic entrapment which restricted its breathing.
