When quest re lack of vigour in early stages of h/straight when an ample run presented, Rdr said told be positive & obtain forward position, however, was slow to begin, then rode more conservatively obtaining a rearward position-said on entering h/straight, when an inside run did not present, he elected to shift out to obtain clear run, adding the apparent lack of vigour was merely an effort to allow mount to balance-up sufficiently after rounding h/turn-added in hindsight, would have been best to have persisted with attempting to obtain an inside run. Explanation noted.
