Near the 250m became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarter. Near the 200m had to be checked and lost its rightful running. Rdr reported it was not his intention to lead the event, but he said after beginning on terms with the field he elected to ride his mnt along in the initial stages whereby it showed good speed and he was able to capitalise on this and obtain the lead.
