Elite Echelon  Hung out under pressure in the home straight. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted in leading today, jockey D. Griffin stated that it was his intention to obtain a handy position with cover, however with the removal of the blinkers today the horse raced keenly in the early stages and obtained the lead of its own accord.

Rose of Woorim  Slow to begin. J. Byrne reported that the horse did not travel comfortably at any stage and in the home straight felt awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings and a swab sample was taken. Trainer S.
