Ima Raheeb A post race veterinary examination of the horse, which finished distanced, found it had raced without its tongue-tie Jockey A. Spinks confirmed the horse got its tongue out of the tongue-tie and raced with its tongue over the bit, which may have affected its performance. Sunshine Coast 02/10/2016

Corryvreckan Blundered as the start was effected and lost significant ground. Apprentice H. English reported her mount resented the tongue-tie in her opinion and failed to muster speed in the early stages. She recommended to connections to remove the tongue-tie from the horse’s gear. Apprentice English added that the horse was doing its best work over the concluding stages and finished the race off well. Sunshine Coast 30/09/2016

Perforation Bumped by another runner on jumping away. Refused to settle in the early stages and when overracing was then permitted to stride forward to a position outside the lead passing the 800m. The gelding then hung out until entering the home straight. Sunshine Coast 02/10/2016

Mr Bon Vivant When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance, trainer Mr A. Williamson attributed the performance to the addition of blinkers, as the horse had been galloped in blinkers on Tuesday and worked well and he expected a forward showing today, particularly given the horse was caught wide without cover at its most recent start and he had been satisfied with the horse’s finishing effort.
