Airlie Reward When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, apprentice L. Tarrant explained that when obliged to race wide in the early stages he allowed the horse to stride forward, which, in his opinion, did not suit his mount as he was of the view it is better ridden with cover. Trainer T. Hall agreed with these comments, and undertook to report back to stewards any abnormalities that may come to light which may explain today's performance. A post race veterinary examination of the horse, which compounded badly in the home straight, failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Eagle Farm 17/09/2016

Danish Empire – Improved onto heels when the pace slackened leaving the 800m and had to be steadied before shifting wider on the track and raced wide without cover from that point onwards. Sunshine Coast 25/09/2016

Pound the Pavement Bumped near the 250m. Gold Coast 08/10/2016
The Inflamer Stewards asked jockey D. Browne to comment on the performance of the horse. He indicated after having a favourable run in the field with easy sectionals during the middle stages he was confident when rounding the home turn the horse would finish the race off well, however the gelding failed to respond to his riding and was very disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Sunshine Coast 25/09/2016

Elimbah After being dislodged on pulling up, jockey L. Londregan was examined by the doctor and cleared to fulfil remaining engagements. Jockey L. Londregan reported that with the addition of blinkers today his mount began well and raced more keenly. He was therefore obliged to position the horse in a more forward position than he had planned. Gran Sabana When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding in tonight’s event, jockey S. Bogenhuber advised that the gelding travelled in a reasonable position and when applied pressure passing the 600m to improve the horse was reluctant to quicken, and felt the gelding was disappointing in its finishing effort in the straight. She advised connections that, in her opinion, the gelding may have come to the end of its campaign. Trainer J. Crompton agreed with jockey Bogenhuber’s comments. Stewards noted the explanation. Marshall Stromberg When questioned regarding the riding tactics adopted , apprentice T. Brooker indicated that no firm instructions had been given other than to have the horse travel comfortably. Trainer T. Thomas confirmed the instructions. He advised the rider not to commit to cover too early as the horse overraced at its most recent start and that he did not wish for the horse to overrace again. Apprentice Brooker indicated that when caught wide in the early stages she allowed the horse to stride forward to the lead. The explanation was noted. Sunshine Coast 02/10/2016

Irish Spy Rider when questioned stated began well however when it obtained cover commenced to drop the bit and failed to travel at any stage of the event, felt somewhat flat and was most disappointing; Post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be displaying a poor post-race recovery. Trainer advised gelding would be spelled. Dubbo 20/03/2016
Reverence jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Inclined to overrace in the early stages and improved onto heels rounding the home turn and was steadied. Canterbury Park 11/05/2016
