D. Griffin was questioned regarding his tactics, which were to restrain the horse to the tail of the field in the early stages. He indicated that he had been instructed to obtain cover if possible, which he attempted to do, however after travelling a short distance it was apparent that he would be caught wide. He therefore elected to restrain the horse further to take up a position at the tail of the field. He indicated that the horse overraced early and was quite ungenerous throughout the event until rounding the home turn. He added that this had a detrimental effect on the horse’s overall pe

When asked to comment on the performance, jockey M. Cahill reported that he had been instructed to make a run wider on the track around horses if possible, which he attempted to fulfil after passing the 600m. He indicated that the horse did not travel comfortably throughout the race, did not respond to his riding rounding the home turn and felt that that the horse was disappointing. Trainer C. Anderson was somewhat disappointed with the performance and would consider the horse’s current preparation and report back to stewards in the coming days.
