Zastyle breaking through the barriers prior to the start being effected, was returned to the gates, examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Began awkwardly. Ipswich 21/10/2016

Punishing Jumped away awkwardly, made heavy contact with the barriers and lost ground. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Sunshine Coast 30/10/2016
Adhere D. Griffin was questioned regarding his tactics, which were to restrain the horse to the tail of the field in the early stages. He indicated that he had been instructed to obtain cover if possible, which he attempted to do, however after travelling a short distance it was apparent that he would be caught wide. He therefore elected to restrain the horse further to take up a position at the tail of the field. He indicated that the horse overraced early and was quite ungenerous throughout the event until rounding the home turn. Spanish Garden When asked to comment on the performance, jockey M. Cahill reported that he had been instructed to make a run wider on the track around horses if possible, which he attempted to fulfil after passing the 600m. He indicated that the horse did not travel comfortably throughout the race, did not respond to his riding rounding the home turn and felt that that the horse was disappointing. Trainer C. Said Written On returning to scale jockey Beau Appo reported that when the pace of the race quickened his mount failed to sprint as well as he had anticipated and in his opinion would be better suited in races over greater distance than today’s event. Toowoomba 05/11/2016
