Son of Justice When questioned regarding the tactics adopted in leading today, apprentice R. Johnston-Bell indicated that as the trainer had informed stewards two starts ago at the Gold Coast the horse would be ridden forward, he was complying with similar instructions in today’s event. Delirium T Clark explained that his mount showed speed in the early stages and was able to obtain a position outside the leader, however was quickly under pressure inside the 500m and commenced to weaken on straightening. Royal Receiver Inclined to overrace in the middle stages. Shortly after straightening was obliged to ease out around heels to continue to improve. Casino 27/05/2016
Swippa da Mouse Jumped away awkwardly and bumped another runner. Raced greenly in the home straight, made contact with the running rail near the 350m and continued to race greenly for the remainder of the event. Sunshine Coast 13/11/2016
Gypsy Miss Bumped shortly after the start. Had to be steadied away from heels when the pace steadied passing the 1000m. Lost the near hind plate in running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Eagle Farm 09/11/2016

Lucky Lucre A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off hind leg. Trainer S. Kendrick was advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again. Eagle Farm 09/11/2016

Zou der Zee When afforded the opportunity to comment on the performance, jockey M. Hellyer stated that his instructions were to be in a forward position however after being slow to begin he settled further back than anticipated. He added the gelding in his opinion failed to run out the 1350 metres of today's event and would be better suited to races over short distances than that of today's event. Ipswich 11/11/2016
Princess is Ready When asked to comment on the performance, jockey R. Wiggins indicated the horse at this stage of its preparation is looking for more ground. He added that the filly had been freshened up to start over 1200m and when the race was shortened again to 1100m due to the meeting being transferred to the cushion track, he indicated that this did not suit and as a result the horse was under pressure throughout the event. Poetic Show Rider questioned re disappointing performance - stated when pace of the race steadied near the 1000m the filly commenced to overrace and refused to settle. Added he was of the view this had attributed to the filly's poor performance. Added filly not entirely comfortable on today's surface. Vetted - no abnormalities. Subsolar When asked to comment on the performance, which was below market expectation, jockey N. Day indicated that the horse travelled well until under pressure from the 600m and then commenced to hang out and failed to respond in the home straight. Trainer C. Anderson indicated that in light of today’s performance he would take the earmuffs off the mare for its next start and add blinkers back on, and to ride the horse a little more conservatively in future.
